Big News For Patreons

I hope all of you guys are doing well.
Before I get to the actual news, I want to say thank you: Over the last weeks, YouTube has demonetized several of my videos and permanently restricted ads on one. The fact that you guys support me here has cushioned the blow severely and prompted me to finally move forward in how I create content. And this is where the big news comes in!
- The Big News
As you might have deduced from the fact that I haven't posted an update in about a week’s time, something is up. I was hoping to make a short video explaining what's going on but decided that that is something to follow later this week.
So, to cut to the chase, I am restructuring the channel to be pretty much completely focused on you, my Patreons. You have been a big part in the success of Military Aviation History, even the crucial part that allowed it to prosper in the first place. Thus, it has become ever more obvious to me that you should be at the centre of this channel. In many ways, you are already there: Perks, Exclusives and Sneakpeaks. You always know first what happens on the channel. However, I want to dedicate more effort to this part of my work. This means two things.
First, there will be more production updates. Some will be long, some will be short, but all will give you an insight of what’s coming to the channel beyond what you currently have. I will go over research, sources, the way I create videos, challenges I run into, outtakes that don’t make the final cut and more.
Second, there will be less but better videos on the actual channel. As some of you might know, I work outside my channel (PhD research) and balancing both commitments was tough but doable as the last year suggests. But I am not happy with the videos, I think they still lack that polish and quality edge I am aiming for. This means I will put more work into each individual video, take more time and make sure it is truly where I want it to be. But with the frequent updates you will now get, you’ll get more out of it!

And thank you for your commitment to quality. Just be sure not to let perfectionism get in the way (diminishing marginal returns, and all that).
