Hey all,
This arrived in the post a few days ago.
Being the 'award' for reaching 100k Subscribers, it's neat and a nice representation of the 'achievement' as they call it. While it proudly proclaims a milestone number and I am happy of having received it, I think what is does not really show is the sense of community and belonging I feel when I work on MAH. That is entirely normal and not the awards fault of course, but I would like to take this moment to explain my thinking on it.
As said before, I see this operation very much as a joint effort between you, the Patreons that fund and support the show, and myself who makes content you enjoy and that is hopefully also of interest to other people. I am very happy to have been able to create this platform but without you guys, I would not have been able to get here.
Via this platform, you helped save the channel from doom when my old Laptop started dying. You allowed this channel to be feasible when it wasn't because of YouTube. You allowed me to buy the equipment to improve the quality. You allow me to undertake trips to museums and archives. And you allow me to keep on pushing ahead with my content without having to think twice about what YouTube thinks of it.
To be honest, I don't know where to put it, it belongs to all of us.
You have my thanks.
