What made the Zero so effective?

As I'll be gone for a week from Saturday onwards, I thought about publishing my new style videos a bit faster. I still can't guarantee if I can finish it on time but a short video on the Japanese Zero is in the works (I recently acquired 'Eagles of Mitsubushi' written by no other than Jiro Horikoshi). I have put everything else on ice as all other videos would never be done in time.
Above is a little teaser of what is to come. This particular visual is still in v0.8 and needs some more love, but it is looking good so far :)
As always, any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Hey mensch, yes that is what I am working on. It seems the original picture was already cropped in a way that only half of his arms are visible - hence I have to eye ball it. I aim to beef up his right and sleaken his left tomorrow :)
