A question of research. Having just finished reading Jagdverband 44 - Squadron of experten, there is an account of an engagement between Me262’s and B-26’s. The account retells this from both sides. Just wondering in your research how often are there “reliable” accounts (First hand or from official records) from both side of an action. As well, do you ever come across any of these accounts with little to no exaggerations?

Hi, Bismarck I will ask you same questions as before 1. I watched your night fighters video and liked it. But I would like to know more about their equipment (antennas) and how did they use them. I also thought that was also versions of Bf 110 and Ju 88 made for night fighting. 2. How did the Germans organize air defense from the beginning and until the end of WW2 on west and east? 3. How did Japan organize air defense from the beginning and until the end of WW2? 4. What was the survival rate in the fighter plane? Did bomber crew have more chance?

In history books, one sometimes reads implied criticism of Luftwaffe force deployment in the late war period. In particular, the relative weakness of forces deployed for tactical use on the Western Front after June 1944, and the failure to defend the Reich from strategic bombing. Could Luftwaffe resources have been deployed to better effect in 1943-45? Thank you for considering this submission.
