New Video: Tour of the Finnish Aviation Museum
Added 2017-09-07 17:02:41 +0000 UTC
Hey all,
My new video is out!
This is obviously a new type of content and I have to learn a lot of new things. Filming at the museum has given me some ideas for the future, and what needs to improve (esp. with the audio and image quality). Right now, I am still limited with my equipment but your support will help me get new material to work with!
I hope you enjoy and if you have any feedback, send it my way ;)

Thanks Bis I knew there had to be a better alternative. I was reading up on the Me163 so I had Stoff (Stuff) on my mind! Keep up the great work and hopefully (one day when I upgrade my PC) I will see you in the skies :)

Hey :)
The German word for Oxygen is Sauerstoff, which is indeed a combination of two words that can be ´- but don't have to be - translated into 'Angry' and 'stuff'. Sauer can mean 'angry' but also acidic, stoff can be a 'thing' or also 'cloth' or 'an entity'. In this case, the more correct literal translation would probably be more along the lines of 'acidic entity' or 'acidic thing'. However, it is essentially a literal translation out of the Greek word for Oxygen, which can be translated (if I remember correctly) to something like 'acidic creator' since Oxygen is often used to make acids. It makes little sense without that context.

I know this is totally off the topic but after trying to figure out a gauge in a FW-190 on IL2 1946 I was left with a much bigger question that I cannot live without answering. Namely why on earth does oxygen in German literally mean 'Angry stuff" in English. Flight thing? yeah ok but angry stuff? how does one come up with that!

Thanks. I will be practicing a bit more before investing into new equipment but it will certainly come soon. That way it will be used to the fullest ;)
