Unfortunate news

My mum's health has sharply declined and she's in hospital again.
I'll be taking at least a week off to go see her and arrange a higher level of care for when she gets out.
I will be pausing billing due to the uncertainty of content in November and the complete absence of it in December.
The summary above mostly covers it. My mum has been in and out of hospital all year, and she's not doing well. I'll be flying across the country in the early hours of tomorrow to support her and make sure she gets the care she needs once she's out.
Obviously, this isn't great for the writing schedule. At the very least, there will be no chapters next week. I've discussed before the technical issues that inevitably arise when pausing billing on Patreon, but I can't justify charging patrons when the chapter releases will be somewhere between spotty and entirely absent.
For this reason, I will be suspending billing for November and December. I will do my best to keep up with the inevitable technical issues, but my attention will honestly be elsewhere, especially in this first week.
I'm sorry about this unexpected hiatus.

Idk I just promise not to take it for granted. Out of respect and empathy for people who’ve lost their own. I wish I knew what to say to people who’ve lost people but I’ll just say even when I try to imagine what you’re feeling, as horrible as it feels I know it can’t even be close to the truth. All I can say is that I am very very sorry you’re going through this and if you have them lean on people you’re close to or lean on us here. All these guys are caring people.

For another logical reason to not feel down, and as much as I'd love to see the next chapter because of that diabolical cliff hanger, it's going to potentially be an intense conversation. To any of the harsher subscribers you're imagining, just argue that if you're distracted it could effect the delivery. Save that intense writing session in your back pocket while going through this for when you need a brief escape from reality. You even have the option for a POV filler next if you're feeling burdened like you must send out something. Either way, you have to balance life and that feeling of obligation you have. We will be fine waiting, you handle what you need to handle.

You don’t need to waste energy on dealing with technical issues for stopping the billing. Take care of your family and yourself. I and many others would rather to continue to support you in your time of need then be a further headache that isn’t necessary. Get back to us when you can but your family comes first.
