I'm excited to share another piece of lore from Steinhardt's Guide to the Eldritch Hunt.
Today, let's talk about the Pyrewalkers—these eerie constructs are the Southern Nations' attempt to replicate the power of the Walking Sacrifices, but with their own twisted alchemical spin.
They're fueled by... well, let's just say some unconventional sources.
Before I dive deeper into the conflicts and histories of this world, smaller elements like the Pyrewalkers help flesh out the Southern Nations, and give me a theme to follow.
They're not as powerful as their giant counterpart, but they bring a unique horror and strategy to the battlefield.

That's a fun idea, but sounds more like a one of, rather than multiple monsters of this type. As such for your world you could perfectly grab one of those little guys and ascribe him the qualities you just described :)

2025-07-15 16:03:43 +0000 UTCI'd love to see a construct that isn't twisted by malice, or so braindead as to not really be a thinking creature. Like, a jolly, friendly knight, who has a pile bunker / cannon for an arm and an enormous shield for the other. Cheerfully leaping in front of allies, shouting encouragement as it drives monsters back. A shining light in a dark world, made all the sadder that it's only really an attitude found in creations built for war and destruction, yet all the purer for that fact.
