It festers just beneath your flesh, a living scar that writhes with hungry malice. Whispers scratch at your skull like rusted nails, promising vengeance against all who wronged you. Its pattern of thorn-carved bone and bleeding bark invites violence the way a wound invites flies—fetid, unrelenting, and eager to hatch horrors in your veins. Each day, you feel it pulse with a quiet, wicked delight, as though it can’t wait for the moment when your mind finally snaps, and you become its perfect instrument of carnage.

Today the God of Wrath's Mark, which makes use of the Eldritch Carving rules from Steinhardt's Guide to the Eldritch Hunt (p.257)

It's not official content, it's me having fun.

If you read the lore for this carving you'll see that it is inspired by the story of Father Gascoigne in Bloodborne.

A little nudge to one of my favorite characters in the game.

Breakdown:

Drawn (Rare): Activate this mark at the start of combat to get an extra attack and resistance to a damage type. After the fun, roll a save or flirt with madness.
Tattooed (Very Rare): Everything above, but now you pick a nemesis and go full “scorched earth” on them. Enjoy advantage on attacks, better saves, and let’s call it “single-target customer service.”
Scarified (Legendary): You get permanent access to the tattooed version’s perks, plus the joy of making that tough Wisdom save every, single, day. Fail it, and you’ll be singing lullabies to your new, long-term madness. If you know the Steinhardt's madness rules, you'll know that if you fail enough of those, you'll end up a beast.

This can be given to a player or an NPC that you wish to turn into a monster later on.
