Hold aloft a lantern hewn from the marrow of your darkest nightmares, and cast its pale glow upon the horrors that gibber in the silence behind your eyes.
Hello good hunter,
In these hours when hope shivers at the edge of your throat and the hush of old woods grows louder than any mortal prayer, you will need more than steel and courage. There are hungers lurking in the long shadows—lives unspooling like rotten thread at the whisper of a name best left unspoken. For these nameless terrors, mere torches will not suffice. You must shepherd the last flickers of your soul’s light into a vessel that can both sear and swallow the dread around you. Today, I bring you just such an artifact: The Dreadmaw
A breakdown:
Immunity to Fear: While attuned, you cannot be Frightened.
Detecting Fear: You know the location of creatures currently Frightened within 500 feet of you.
Fear-Based Effects: The lantern holds charges that can be spent to:
Devour Dread: Paralyze a Frightened creature and reduce its resistances.
Empart Fear: Inflict the Frightened condition on a nearby target for a short duration.
Nightmare Fuel: When a powerful foe drops to 0 HP nearby, use a reaction to regain hit points.
Swallow Hope: Teleport to an unoccupied space near a Frightened creature (you don't need to see it, just to sense it, so anyone within 500 feet of you!)
Cursed Item: While attuned, you risk facing haunting visions during rest, possibly becoming Frightened yourself for a full day if you cannot resist.
Enjoy
