Throw a hammer loaded with religious intent at the eldritch horror before you.
Hello good hunter,
The world beyond our torchlight is teeming with horrors unspeakable. The claws that scratch at the corners of your dreams, the hollow eyes that watch from beneath gnarled oaks, and the black ichor that pools in forgotten chapels—these threats call for more than courage. They demand weapons forged from faith and tempered by fire. Today, I bring you one such instrument of divine resolve: the Sunforger Hammer.
A breakdown:
Attuning to the Sunforger Hammer is straightforward: use a Magic action to become attuned (the new 5.5 rule, realistically it means you attune with an Action), granting yourself a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls.
After you throw it, the hammer automatically returns to your hand. You can also use it as your holy symbol, focusing your divine energy through its form. If you expend a spell slot of level 4 or lower as a Bonus Action before the hammer returns, you can cast a Cleric or Paladin spell without needing material components. After doing so, the attunement ends, making this feature a strategic, one-time opportunity during challenging encounters.
Enjoy!
