Here is a very normal owlbear, nothing wrong with it, just don't pay attention to its size and its neck full of fangs, anddd the tentacles emerging from its back...

I ran the Owlbear. Its a really fun, really threatening monster with just one problem. Paladins hard counter them. Once a Paladin hits the thing with smite and it becomes enraged the fight is basically over unless you get really lucky with the dice. Paladins have high AC and high con Saves. "Fear of Radiance" is basically a free taunt for the Paladin. Mine hit it with a level 2 smite and after that the Owlbear basically was wasting its turns. My suggestion is to make the enrage a true enrage and give it advantage on its attacks, at least give it advantage on attacks against the source of its anger.
