It took me way, way longer than I predicted/expected to write it, but at long last, Battle of the Fates is complete. It seems like these 19,000 words and some were not the easiest to write...but it's done.
You can all enjoy it now.
Now I can temporarily abandon Alex and turn my efforts in the direction of TWO.
Some Grudges await, in a galaxy of eternal war...

I think I'll need a second read of the later half of this chapter before I can fully appreciate the battle, as it turned heavily into conceptual territory there, but one question I do have already: Alexandra hasn't fully merged Death with the Plane of Lightning yet, has she? She let herself get marked by lightning, similar to Lyudmila earlier, and that did something but seeing as the realignment made quite a few changes to the three champions who made those, that didn't happen for Death already, right?
