Aside from reply being busted, I couldn't log in at all from Windows. Rebooted to Linux and used a private browsing window and I got in. Still can't reply to things I couldn't reply to yesterday, though. I was wondering if Pumpkin was supposed to be leaning demisexual as opposed to asexual with all of this. Asexual with emotional attachment growing feels better, though. So glad to see the confirmation.

Okay, I guess I'm forced to do a bulk reply. 1) Asexuals may not be interested in sex, but they can still fall in love. That's one part of the story's narrative at this point. 2) I think the layered clothes + plus cleavage make Pumpkin's boobs look larger than they would masked in a hoodie. 3) As Pumpkin gets older, she'll look similar to Tarra and Ellie figure-wise, and another part of the story's narrative is she makes a better Ellie than Ellie. Because if you can't tell by now, Pumpkin's going to make her older sister very envious over this friendship.

I honestly hope this is more of a "sister-friend" kind of relationship Pumpkin is aiming for. I think she'd do better with that than aiming for a romantic relationship that just won't happen (age difference, sexuality, knowing Quinn likes a dude, Rosemary: Queen Mother of Ass-Kicking). Plus I figured she was still "not-sure" or asexual.

Though as someone named Pumpkin, you'd think she wouldn't comment much on Quinn's first name.

I'd reply that I'm having trouble with replies, but I can't reply. Little freaked out about Quinn's first name. It was in the 600's in the Social Security list of baby names when I was born, but there surely aren't many of them. Suzy/Suzie/Susan/Suzanne were popular in the 70's. Not so much today.

Is everyone having issues with replies?

I love this as much (if not more) than the main storyline. I do wish the image was a bit bigger. Even when enlarged I have a hard time reading the text, unless I download the image file and zoom in there. Is there a way you could load it up in higher res on the Patreon page? If not, thats cool, this is just a convenience thing.

This comic is a story unto itself - fantastic work! My favorite parts: 1. Pumpkin is opening up to Quinn about the family. Probably nice for her to get some context for the Black Friday Apocalypse. 2. THE CALLBACKS. Apature Science; Camp Anawanna. Classic! 3. Quinn smiling in the last instant photo. She actually looks happy :)

On another note, would it be possible at some (non-spoilerific) point to get a rough timeline of events in SS? I can understand if you want to keep time vague, but I am curious about certain things, like where this B-story fits in relation to the A-story. Or even just how many days/weeks/months this particular montage is supposed to cover. IIRC, you mentioned that Pumpkin's 16th Birthday was going to be the focus (or at least the orbital center) of the upcoming Royal Buckinghams storyline, so maybe a hint of that too? (What is it about that time of our lives that even decades after we become grown-ass women and men, we are still writing and reading stories about teens and being a teenager?)

I see that Pumpkin is feeling confident and/or pretty and/or wanting to be seen with her arm candy, due to her sudden emergence from the hoodie in the last panel. (There's a hoodie around her waist though, right?) And there's at least 10 different hoodies, so this seems spread out over 2 weeks at the very least. Plenty of time for some real real gal-pal bonding, and actual getting to know each other. If we didn't have Pumpkin's previous storyline o' sexuality, it would be painfully obvious that she has the hots for Quinn in all the ways that we are not allowed to think of 15yos of having. However, given all the wealth of subtext--plus OMG that last panel--it seems hard to believe that she isn't smitten with Quinn on some physio-romantic level. This brings up a couple of points. Number One is, of course, that unless Quinn's position on the Kinsey scale is other than we have been led to believe, Pumpkin is setting herself up either for heartbeak, or a long unrequited yearning, either of which is painful to witness, especially on many (most?) readers' favorite character. Number Two is, is Pumpkin about to find out that "I'm fifteen" is a double-edged sword? Yes, it is useful for repelling a lot of unwanted attentions, but it also has the same effect on a lot of wanted attentions as well. This storyline ls a lot like the Going To The Sun Road in Glacier National Park. It has been great viewing, but until you reach the destination, the possibility of taking the tiniest swerve that can drop you hundreds of feet down into oblivion is just pants-wettingly terrifying.

Anyhow, in response to those who said that Pumpkin seems to be closing the gap with Ellie, I was thinking maybe this was Rusche's way of indicating the passage of time. Some auteurs use an hourglass filling up, others use bras.

Oh man, we get a hanging-out montage, we get additional information regarding back stories (specifically Ginger/Juniper &amp; Tag) we get Pumpkin in various hoodies referencing everything from Salute Your Shorts to more contemporary media-stuffs (I like the portal one, and we already knew about the awesome minecraft ones) Plus, our horrible movie-mashup. In all honestly, I misread it as Shaquake, and was expecting some weird basketball references (and movies, and rap) in the next comic. Heh, and weird sodas...and Shaq-Fu.

Pumpkin seems to have more on her mind then watching a movie......even a horrible one.

Warnings and updates so we know all is well just overly ambitious are appreciated (and were posted), but otherwise take it as you need it. I'll leave the KK and Juniper/Ginger reveals alone but instead I'll say that Pumpkin's shoulderboob attempt doesn't seem to be going as well for her as it did for Harem in Grrl Power. Also if anyone gets the Suzette reference, please let me know. Only thing I can guess is Quinn's middle name.

Kind of forgot to actually comment on the comic... Hilarious to see FatFat in a Sailor Moon wig. The overall montage is fun to watch unfold. Pumpkin seems to be coming on a little strong and it looks like she will be rivaling Ellie's "well roundedness" by the time she's her sisters age.

This is all gorgeous and I love it. The photobooth pictures are great.
