Teaser Endgame - 11 November 2023
Added 2024-11-18 12:39:51 +0000 UTCAnd now for the really good news, the last teaser of Endgame is here!
Yes, it will be the last 'teaser' (it is 40,000 words-long, mind you).
Next update, you will get the entire chapter (which may or may not be close to the 55,000 words threshold).
But since I am sure everyone was eager to read, well...
And I give you the scene a lot of readers were urging me to write for many weeks.
Enjoy!

I feel like all your stories naturally gravitate towards the mc having a harem, Alexandria you better watch out you are one of the last ones left with a single pairing lol.

2024-11-19 23:06:53 +0000 UTC10 million Drachmas is 3 Billion USD, assuming the average centurions salary is at least 20,000 USD

2024-11-19 21:40:24 +0000 UTCI mean he's been pretty clear (internally) that he wants to throw Zeus from his throne. However, from his talk with the head of the SHark Patriarch, he seems to be aiming to become a Titan rather than a god. However I think we are still a fair while away from his Apothesis.

2024-11-19 20:48:10 +0000 UTCHas anyone else noticed that Percy seems to be making Gods left and right? What do you call the person who makes a bunch of Gods? I don't think there is a word but High God or Creator God are probably the best match. Does this mean Percy is working on usurping Zues? That seems to be where his story is going.

2024-11-19 15:43:08 +0000 UTCSeeing Anaxares being mentioned honestly made my entire week. Thank you

2024-11-19 02:57:15 +0000 UTCCommodus...well, he deserved that and more, and as Antony mentioned above, I'm sure that Hades is going to explain his displeasure (hell, I know he's 'the rich one' but he could probably double the size of his fortune by charging a fee for various people to drop by to express THEIR displeasure to the cretin) Going to be interesting to see Olympus's reaction, and see how the end of the Trials turns out. With Commodus dead, its time to turn their attention to deciding what to do with the god of war and finishing the great quest. Offering the power of the moon back...yeah that's insurance, but will be interesting to see how it plays out (Thinking back to the first great quest and Percy's talk with Luke about how unwisely Artemsis mixed her domains, I wonder if Percy 'tweaked' the power somewhat...would be just like him to adjust the power he was giving back, even if the power offered was nothing compared to the total power of Artemsis/Diana (and another chink in the armour for Neo Selene to exploit). 3 wives, 17 lovers...well that's a lot. Going to be interesting to see how that plays out. There are a lot of people who could fit into any of the spots there. Thanks for this 'teaser', looking forward to the rest!

2024-11-19 02:53:53 +0000 UTCIs she? I see Bianca more content to be lover than wife. Honestly the only hard locked wife in my mind is Lou Ellen. Everyone else could easily slate into lover

2024-11-18 22:42:36 +0000 UTCRun Jackson the thirsty lions are coming for you! LOL funny that he cursed to have three wives and seventeen lovers. Now the real question is who is going to be the wives cause I see a very fierce competition brewing. By the way is there any rule this predator did not violate? I mean really draining the power from the armor from a trap I expected, not draining power from the armor as you are tossed into the ring.

2024-11-18 21:55:45 +0000 UTCI do not know... In a twisted way it would make sense? Mark Anthony was contesting Perseus right to be Adjudicator of Love so he could free Isis, and has Commodus serve as Judge. So narratively the concept of 'Love' kind of got tied into his ritual unintentionally, and he then proceed to trample upon the concept of 'Love' as a core component of the ritual. In theory the Ritual was ultimately broken or at least damaged, by Piper's refusal to become Neo Diana, since it seemed Commodus' plan required a dual ascension. With the ritual damaged Commodus would have the weak point narratively for Persues to contest the story role of High Judge, and put it to the test via the power of 'Love'. If Commodus had any kind of 'Love' beyond self love he would still be worthy in the eyes of 'Love' to be High Judge keep the power?

2024-11-18 20:34:39 +0000 UTCI’m glad Commodus finally got what was coming to him. Im surprised Piper is girl number 3 though. I really thought it would be either Bianca or one of the former huntresses.

2024-11-18 20:30:15 +0000 UTCCommodus is going to have a very, very unpleasant fate in the Underworld. Hades is going to make an example of him. And...well, Commodus absolutely deserves it, of course. And yes, it was...a rather vicious revenge from Aphrodite/Venus.

2024-11-18 20:27:05 +0000 UTCThank you, all the praise gives me the pleasure to write more!
Antony444
2024-11-18 20:25:21 +0000 UTCIt is almost the end, bwhahaha! There's a few more scenes for Perseus and co in the Epilogue before they leave the Sea of Monsters. As for Arc 3...well, it will be a wild ride...and a totally different adventure.
Antony444
2024-11-18 20:24:53 +0000 UTCYes, this chapter was indeed particularly blessed (or cursed) by the craziness...
Antony444
2024-11-18 20:23:03 +0000 UTCAnd we will not compromise on this, lol.
Antony444
2024-11-18 20:22:32 +0000 UTCThanks for the compliment! There will be some Olympian reactions, but a large majority will be for the Epilogue.
Antony444
2024-11-18 20:22:11 +0000 UTCHa! Ha! I'm not going to spoil anything on that front...
Antony444
2024-11-18 20:21:32 +0000 UTCHmm...will have to look at the historical records to compare. Though I will argue that past a certain number, the victim is past caring...
Antony444
2024-11-18 20:21:10 +0000 UTCThe power to do so was delivered by Venus, and with her 'blessing' (that's why you don't piss off a Goddess, by the way). And naturally, it wouldn't have worked if Commodus was still capable of love...I may have to change the paragraph to make it more explicit.
Antony444
2024-11-18 20:19:55 +0000 UTCThe odds were never in my favour. I've not yet written a single word of the monthly update...
Antony444
2024-11-18 20:18:41 +0000 UTCYeah it can summon a goddess of love under the right circumstances, which makes sense, and even inflicting lust on others is thematic. But power draining is kind of a stretch imo, even if it's contingent on the victim not loving anyone.

2024-11-18 20:00:28 +0000 UTCWOW, really nice chapter. Quick question after this chapter, which novel are you updating?

2024-11-18 19:20:12 +0000 UTCYeah that seems bullshit

2024-11-18 17:17:55 +0000 UTCI enjoyed that come-uppance very much. However, I am confused on how Percy drained Commodus of his power. He said through being the adjudicator of love, but like, how does that work? You can't just do literally anything and then say it's because I'm the adjudicator of love, right?

2024-11-18 16:15:59 +0000 UTCSide point… Julius and Commodus will have something in common. The number of people who stabbed them to death
Jeremy
2024-11-18 15:53:11 +0000 UTC3 wives and 17 lovers? I guess we should expect many/most of the famous female of the riordanverse to be part of the list?

2024-11-18 15:36:59 +0000 UTCFantastic, looking forward to Olympus reactions. Hope we get it this chapter but understand if not, already a beefy chap.

2024-11-18 13:34:37 +0000 UTCJust amazing. No one thought that the rule of three would be used again. I’m sure the next teaser will give the reactions of the Gods and the aftermath of everything that occured. I assume this is the end of the sea of monsters. Can’t wait for “book 3” something related to maybe Prometheus’s curse unless there’s some other Titan. Wonder how Python will play in all this and in the next quest, which new demigods would be taken

2024-11-18 13:22:59 +0000 UTCHuh... that was better fate for Commodus then I was expecting honestly. The impression I was getting from Perseus was that his very soul and essences was going to be obliterated by the ritual failing. Though I guess because Perseus had to save Piper the power of the failed ritual went towards Piper's ascension rather then removing every trace of Commodus' existence. Though oof... I do not relish what Fate awaits Commodus in the Underworld since Greeks tended to appreciate ironic punishments. Different note, dear Zeus, that was still kind of cruel of Aphrodite. I get it is an improvement for the original curse but 3 wives and 17 lovers? Aphrodite / Venus might have saved her own skin, but at the cost of the sanity of the future Greco/Roman world.

2024-11-18 13:21:48 +0000 UTCThat chapter, like all the previous chapters, has us sated. It was amazing, it was grand, it was fulfilling. And so we shall lie dormant for when the next teaser shall arrive. Until then, thank you for the chapter.
