I have checked everything again to avoid the problem of two days ago, and I'm reasonably confident it shouldn't happen. Obviously, if a chapter is reduced to five words, it will be the sign something has gone wrong...again.
One astute reader mentioned that means I will have to change the maps of the Nyx Sector; it is assuredly true. Obviously, said maps aren't ready right now (otherwise I would have updated them in image-dedicated posts).
I can also confirm that no, the update schedule wasn't a joke.
Now that the writing phase of TWO is over, it will be in order:
The Odds were never in my favour (chapter 113 if I'm not mistaken)
The Dance is not Over
An Impractical Guide to Godhood (Endgame)
And somewhere in-between, I will obviously work upon the maps.
And yes, this is now the full chapter of TWO that is here. I've sent it to the betas, and hopefully, everything will be ready for a majestic Sanguinala/Christmas update (at which point the preparations of another chapter will have to begin, but such is author's life).
It is 40,000 words-long, and well...it has a few last surprises I think few have seen coming.
Forget the promise of peace. It is an age of War, and the galaxy is burning...

For the in progress chapters I use the Natural Reader app on IOS then copy the text to the app. If you have the Fanfiction app you can listen to the published chapters via the inbuilt Text to speech.

2024-10-20 07:48:34 +0000 UTCWas just reading/listening to the chapter and when it came to the number of Primarch’s I think it should be pointed out that Taylor knows about Omegon and as such knows there were 21 Primarch’s not 20. In addition there is logically leap of that if there was one pair of twins Primarchs could have been more planned before the primarchs were taken. Whether you add that to the chapter or point it out in the future is up to you but it does raise some interesting possibilities about which Legions nearly had two Primarchs.

2024-10-19 10:37:15 +0000 UTCThanks for the chapter! Tbh, I'm not a big fan of Taylor having children in the story but since you're the author, I believe you have what's best for the story in mind. Hopefully we will get some industrial expansion description over the timeskip in the next chapter and the new map with new trade route for the Sector.

2024-10-19 01:13:12 +0000 UTCI thought it was pretty clear that the Emperor was talking to everyone. I agree same old plan as the Fantasy counterpart. To be fair both are undead freaks that love to raise the dead as slaves. No the Galaxy Gun from Star Wars was breaking the universal rules all over the place. Like please remember that you cannot ram as they did in the 8th movie at all.(The end of Rouge One has a perfect example of what happens when the corvet hits the star destroyer.) Plus given how fast everyone was traveling in hyperspace was also stupid in the 8th movie. Really if hyperdrive tech got that much better they could have gone to Corellia and told them about the genocidal freaks who were toying around waiting to get ambushed. Then 100,000 plus starships would have jumped the 1st order and slaughtered them. Disney retconned the 7th-9th movies for a reason. Sighs sorry for the rant I love Star Wars and anything about 7th-9th just makes me angry.

Killing masses that are loyal to the Emperor in a galaxy-sized war without taking her off the board sounds silly now that she is in synchrony with the galaxy-sized lighthouse. (This is what I suspect is the Emperor's hidden card that has been hinted at.) Talking about super ancient weapons that were put in storage with this label of do not use and lets wipe its name from history sounds really suspicious. Like a counter to it was made to defeat it in the war of heaven... and the simple solution was to stop using it. Plus hide it in an anti-warp bubble. After all by removing the planet killer from the board correctly would also remove the counter made by the old ones via symbolism. About this war that is going to kick off... I wonder how many monsters sworn to chaos are going to be shocked that the leashes of the old ones still bind them to do war vs the threats they were made to fight ages ago? After all these newly free parasites needed a lot of strength to survive the three and the Eldar pantheon from killing them in the ages long ago. Gaining power from leftover scraps from the war of heaven surely does not have a cost after all who could be stupid enough to restart that War! This reawaking process is what I suspect will arouse the special nests from their slumber completely. The usage of the throne of oblivion after the anti-warp bubble busted saw some rather interesting warp actors showing up. True the Emperor light might have weakened the chains as the bat daemon said or maybe just maybe it was drawn out from the depth of the warp based on the symbolism. After all, if the rival reappears the hero must show up to save the day! Well that my theory at least.

Also to be fair it would be ironic/hilarious if the reason she couldn’t find a partner is because she has so high standards only a Primarch could fill them.

2024-10-18 20:30:26 +0000 UTCI think some clarification is needed. Because it seemed like Anubis, the Captain General, seemed to refer to the Commander of the Grey Knights as Sire. Unless the Emperor had directly possessed the Grey Knight in question, that does not make since. Nagash's plan seems to be straight out of his Fanatasy counterparts, or Vecna's, playbook. Provoke the largest conflict imaginable involving every faction. Stand back and let the mass death empower his owns plans. This is X-Brukk. Not a random Ork. HE'S A SMA'T GIT. And one proven to be able and willing to work and plan with non Orks. Particularly those that OFFA' A PROPA SCRAP. This may be the beginning of a first since the War in Heaven. The Orks coordinating with others. Even allying with them. We'll see. The Maynark have a Galaxy Gun. Makes since, as they also have at least 3 Death Stars. The Galaxy Gun is my second favorite Star Wars super weapon. Just behind the Star Forge.

Now we have an even more unhappy Nagash running to what I think is an extra big coil-gun to blow up everything he don't like, aka whole Galaxy... Also did you change universial rule "Being Taylor Hebert is suffering" to "Being Victoria Dallon is suffering"? Because she can't catch a break! After losing her base because of Nagash once, she risks to do it again...

2024-10-18 14:57:02 +0000 UTCWhy do I get the feeling Missy is being so cagey about her time at Macragge because she went above and beyond Taylor statements of no Fenrisian boyfriends and found a romantic partner a bit higher up the food chain and related to a different legion. Maybe the reason she hasn’t said anything is due to her new boyfriend being a bit to busy and unwell to travel anyway from at the moment (and not because introducing him to Taylor is going to be fun).
