Sorry to not have posted an update last week, but for some unexplainable reason, the Muse decided to take a few days of holiday, making the writing process slowing to a craw (since there wasn't any warm weather, I doubt we can blame the mother core of the Abominable Intelligence next door overheating).
But all ended well, and the next chapter of The odds were never in my favour is now complete, and has been sent to my assiduous beta this morning.
So the monthly update should be available to all (as per schedule) before the end of the week.

I don’t think anyone will let that stand though, a Champion of Fate and magic a necromancer?!? Seems unstable, but Alexandra and others have a track record of working with people to get the job done. Also, can’t wait for Neville’s meltdown!

2024-06-24 19:34:22 +0000 UTCOh that was oodles of fun. Very rarely is there a fight where everyone can let lose knowing no one is gonna go for kill shots for once. And Ariana Dumbledore finally makes her entrance into the narrative proper! Trying to claim Fate? Honestly don't understand what the end goal would be. She's clearly a claimant of the Dark, so taking Fate would be very much drawing the lines of the new balance of power if she succeeds.
