The odds 106 unbetaed
Added 2023-05-17 10:36:35 +0000 UTCAs promised, the chapter 106 of The odds were never in my favour, Once and Future King.
I am not going to spoil a lot of things if I say it's exclusively focused on the duel between Alexandra and Galahad. To know more, you will have to read the chapter...
I will do my best, as usual to update the beta-ed version as soon as possible.
For the rest of the month...I have not yet decided on the story I will give my attention next. A lot depends on a certain beta, and the delivery of a certain update. That's all I am going to say on a particular subject.
What I am going to say for sure is that I'm taking a few days of break at the end of the month (the equivalent of a big weekend) to go to the holy city of Athena and pray that she forgive me for all the insolent disasters a certain Tyrant is about to trigger on his way to 'resolve' the Great Quest.
Before that, I can confirm there will be a story update. I just haven't decided which.
Anyway, let's return to Westminster Bridge, one does not make wait the Morrigan...

It doesn't count. The two are distant enough for it to not matter...they are cousins, but this does not count as kinslaying (Sirius being killed by Bellatrix didn't in canon, and they were far closer, both from a genealogy and an emotional perspective).

2023-05-20 00:36:51 +0000 UTCWhile all the characters have their biases, remember how by now,: Alexandra, Morag (and the Exiled in general), Amelia Bones, Slughorn, Snape, Flitwick, Crouch Sr and Gellert have all called out Dumbledore making extremely self-serving decisions and expecting people to just accept and be happy with his logic. The entire 1st year of the Odds depicted just how provincial Dumbledore is in his outlook and its consequences.

2023-05-19 15:27:16 +0000 UTCWhile I certainly enjoyed the chapter as a whole some of its parts were a bit too unreal to me. It is not even the mid battle banter or the lack of coherent strategy by the part of Leo, that was expected, but little things like bringing a dreadnought to the middle of the Thames ( I wouldn't expect the river to be bigger big enough for such a vessel to even be there) or for what reason did dumbledore intervene in the end. It makes no sense what so ever to intervene at the end there. Leo was "destroyed", is still possessed, continues to defy the orders from Dumbledore and adds absolutely nothing to Dumbledore and his faction. Why even do it ? Hell bringing him to St Mungus is a very bad idea. It has been proven to not be enough to stop the very people that want Leo dead, mainly the rest of the Black Family, so what is to stop Bellatrix from going there again ?
