As crystalline, silicon based life the sand worms of Arakis probably have more in common with an unaltered shard than anything else Taylor has. They even secrete a substance that gives super powers, with severe side effects. I am in the middle of a reread at the moment, and I just got to the Catachan Ant scene. It reminded to ask if there was any plan to follow up on that more. I keep having this image of Taylor dueling a Kaiju scale Hive Tyrant with all of Catachan watching. Ending with a kneel before Frodo moment involving Imperator sized Catachan devils. I'm not asking for spoilers. I just wondered if more was planned for that. Leaving an Ancient Hive Tyrant alone seems like a BAD idea if nothing else.
