Cold Like Death unbetaed (an Impractical Guide to Godhood ch18)

You know about those resolutions to write smaller chapters?

Well, I'm afraid they never got past the preliminary stage.

What happened for TWO is true for An Impractical Guide, I guess...ah, well. It is only 26,000 words, there is some margin between it and the current TWO chapters.

Anyway, I regret nothing.

As always, fair warning: none of the scenes despicted in this chapter are to do in real life. You are not Perseus Jackson/Kairos Theodosian; if you try it, you will die incredibly quickly.

No, being betrayed is not a good thing, despite what a certain crazy Demigod might think.

If one stranger proposes you to join a Great Quest, you don't accept, period.

And no, rushing into a trap is not the best way to disarm it.

Oh, and I suppose that while it's evident, no, swearing friendship to a Kaiju is not the  solution to the world problems.

You have been warned; may your sanity survives these pages.

The Suicide Squad is going to war. May whatever Good exists have pity on this poor world...

So just realized something. Percy told Jade that she'd be transformed into something but could probably return to human form most of the time if she took the snowflake blessing. That didn't seem to actually ever happen? Am I missing something or is that just Percy being incorrect about the sequence of events that would follow?

Plenty of good analysis there, won't say if you're right or wrong, of course...

Question or observation - I think this is the second time in the story where the Suicide Squad has encountered something that Artemis should have hunted per her responsibility. Additionally it was noted by Percy that Artemis may have intermingled her Moon and Hunt Aspects together to unreasonable degree. I guess what I am asking is that it seems Artemis' negligence in regards to her duty is weakening her connection to her aspect of the Hunt. If so it might be the reason she has had to mix her Moon aspect into her Huntresses. By extension it seems like Hera or another of the Suicide Squad might become the new deity of the Hunt at this rate. I guess a second observation that occurred to me is in the previous chapter when they travel through Hell's Reach there were two Black Fortress one near a volcano and the other on a mountain surround by an ice. I am starting to guess the Ice Fortress may belong to Khione, based off Hade's apparently sheltering in the Underwold during her ascension. I am wondering if the second Black Fortess may belong to Rhode since she also made a deal with Percy, and I could see maybe using connection with Helios to leverage an ascension related to fire.
