The odds 102 unbetaed - The Fires of Judgement

Here comes the chapter 102 of The odds were never in my favour, The Fires of Judgement, which reveals what is happening on the second day of the Fourth Task.

Hope everyone will enjoy the scenes...

And yes, it is a big chapter (again) with 18,000 words, but as a lot of thing is happening, I don't think many readers will complain...

And yes, writing for the Harry Potter stuff is over for now. This week is going to be dedicated to the preparations for TWO. I have a lot of vicious cliffhangers and spectacular events to plan for...

I will announce with a new post when the writing will begin, I promise. Most likely it will be towards this week-end, yes-yes!

You haven't see the complete effect of the 4th Seal. The first step is to summon the giant Salamander. Second step is coming. As for Fleur, the fact it required her to activate the Seal is 'one stone, two birds' move the Exchequer likes...

Great chapter! Can't wait to read it on ffn! I did have some questions though. The 4th seal was meant to convert Fleur? Or was it to set off the volcano/destroy the grail? And what was the purpose of the 5th? To get back a powerful connection to the plane of water? Or just use it to create an infinite source of water to cause massive floods? Also, I did think that the whole thing with drugging Fleur and Poliakov could've been explained a little better during the scene between them and Romeo. As well as the traps in the canal, I honestly thought some people were dying in there, but only one person seemed to die from the entire thing. Not as much of a bloodbath as I was expecting. I do however think that the plot twists you're pulling in this chapter + excellect background lor is really nice!

For Gondor!

Nothing Alexandra does is unexpected or unprepared for by the Exchequer..so far. Which is to be expected, they are actually competent bad(?) guys...and she was told that if she messed up this task, she would be killed. But she still has to have an impact against them, and her planting ideas in someone else's head is brilliant. Very eagerly anticipating the next chapter. For Elendil!
