I love how different all the manynette’s look, even down to their SKINTONES - and those changes reflect the AU and the lives the Mari’s are living. Like the changeling AU Mari is the only one who honestly looks healthy. Because in that AU she is not LB, she’s just dealing with fae nonsense, but they all love her. Followed by Goliath AU, who is healthy as long as the peacock is not in use. But she is mentally scarred and sad from her mother’s death. She also still overworks herself a bit to help with the bakery. So she is still not as healthy as changeling AU Mari, and so she is a bit more subdued. Feralnette looks ashy and gray because she is overworked and not taking care of herself. She is exhausted and hurt and yet she still pushes through, leading herself to look sick (and sometimes working herself into BEING legitimately sick). Neky looks a lot like Feral, but she is lighter in color - almost faded - because not only does she not take care of herself and overworks herself like Feral, but she is legitimately ILL because every time one of her akumas is destroyed she feels a lot of pain. So she has that gray, ashy look of Feral + a lighter shade to show how pale she is from her weakness. It’s so cool that you can SEE the differences, so even if they made it so they were wearing the exact same clothes and had their hair in the exact same style, I’m sure you would still be able to tell.
