Hello everyone,

It’s been a while since our last update on Patreon, and we wanted to take a moment to share what’s been happening behind the scenes at Gofile — and what’s coming next.

To sum things up in one sentence: progress has been steady, sometimes slow, but everything is moving in the right direction.
Much of our recent work has been focused on background improvements — the kind of things you might not see directly — as Gofile continues to grow. With that growth, we’ve had to dedicate a lot of time to operational and regulatory topics to ensure a strong and sustainable future.

As Gofile’s popularity expands globally, we’ve needed to comply with various regulatory requirements, especially across Europe and the United States. These administrative processes take time, but we’re happy to share that Gofile is now fully compliant in all countries where we operate.
This ensures our long-term presence and provides a stable foundation for the platform and its users.

We’ve also spent a lot of time strengthening our infrastructure. One of our key goals is to become increasingly independent in managing our servers and networks, reducing reliance on third-party providers.

In Europe, we’ve already achieved full independence — our company is based in France, and we operate our own data center in Paris. This gives us a major advantage as a storage platform, allowing us to offer competitive pricing while maintaining full control over quality and security.

For the United States, we now have a strong partnership with a trusted data center provider. We’ve been successfully operating our own servers and network there for over a year.

For Asia, we’re still in the testing phase with several potential partners. We’re being cautious, as we only want to host storage in regions where we can guarantee long-term reliability and top-tier infrastructure.
At the moment, storage is located in Europe and the USA, while Asia and other regions currently serve as upload and download endpoints — with no permanent storage in those locations yet.

Development of new features has slowed down slightly due to the ongoing challenges of maintaining such a large infrastructure with a small team.
Gofile now operates over 100 servers worldwide, supports nearly 1 Tbps of bandwidth, and runs multiple databases, APIs, frontends, caches, and proxies.
With more than 100 million monthly visits, keeping everything running smoothly requires constant attention, creativity, and technical expertise.

While we could expand the team, we prefer to grow carefully and sustainably. Many companies lose their focus as they scale — we’re determined to stay independent and true to our founding principles: simplicity and performance.

We continue to work daily on optimizations, scalability improvements, and bug fixes to keep Gofile fast and reliable.

We haven’t forgotten about the new features many of you are waiting for.
The most anticipated one is our desktop app, which has been slightly delayed but is still in active development.

For those with technical experience, you can already achieve full synchronization between your computer and Gofile using Rclone, which officially supports Gofile integration.

In addition, we’re preparing enhancements to direct links, offering more control and customization. You’ll also see new options in the file browser soon to improve your file management experience.

We’re not in a rush — our goal is to ensure Gofile continues to grow in a stable, thoughtful way.
We’re here for the long term and remain committed to providing a fast, secure, and simple platform for your storage and file-sharing needs.
