It's been 3 months since the last time I wrote to you.
A lot of work has been done since then.
Here is the list in no particular order of what has evolved:
- For developers, the API has been slightly modified, and a new endpoint /getContent is now available to retrieve information from a content. It is now possible to use Gofile in your applications in a completely transparent way.
- The statistics displayed in /myProfile are updated every 24 hours.
- A new mechanism has been implemented on the servers to prioritize the download of donor members when a server is saturated.
- The long awaited copy/paste in the file browser is now functional.
- A long-standing bug preventing a minority of members from downloading content has been fixed. This bug occurred when an internet connection had multiple IP addresses.
- The load balancing algorithm between servers has been significantly improved.
- New protection mechanisms against DDOS attacks have been implemented.
- Many servers have been deployed in the "America" region.
- Direct links that have been changed (this can happen during the BETA phase) are now automatically redirected to the correct server. So you are not required to update them on your side anymore. Even if it's still recommended.
As you can see, things are progressing.
Gofile is growing in popularity, with over 20 million users now using the platform each month. The infrastructure has doubled in just a few months.
There is still a lot of functionality to be developed and stabilization work to be done. I'll keep you posted on new features soon.

2022-03-10 22:38:30 +0000 UTCIt's ridiculous that if you are late on payment gofile deletes ALL your files. So you have to re-upload 100s of GB again. All file sharing companies never do that. Also download/upload speed is very slow. I'm cancelling my membership.

2021-11-28 02:57:06 +0000 UTCA feature that I and I assume many people need is like an importer of some kind. To move from google drive, mega, onedrive to gofile. Dow loading and reuploading takes time. If there is a way to simply do it through gofile it would be great.
