Schedule change + no chapter today.
Added 2025-05-16 06:30:41 +0000 UTCGuys, go get your tissues because today we have sad news. This post is mainly to talk about scheduling change and a little about some concerns of y'all regarding the story.
Basically I'm changing the plan from one chapter a day to a chapter every 2~3 days until we reach 15 advance.
I say "Changing", but honestly it was already kind of that way. I simply cannot write +3k words every day and maintain quality like other authors (Warby has to be using some kind of black magic cause how???). In fact, I think the quality of the grammar and prose are kind of going down gradually. I look at past chapters and I find obvious errors just lying there.
So yeah, we changing it to preserve quality and my mental health because I'm starting to go a little crazy.
No seriously speaking, life has a way of dicking you rough and hard when you need to be strong the most. I wouldn't say I'm depressed or anything, but it's getting rough in here. Kinda want to vent but a little something called 'common sense' tells me I shouldn't.
Speaking of sad stuff, I know that the story is deviating from the satire and comedy of the first few chapters and some of you are worried. So I wanted to say that it's only temporarily. Despite what it might seem I don't really like tragedies, and I find very exhausting to write sad stuff. But I also don't want to force the story into a certain path. So yeah, despise things getting a little to dark lately, and probably a little bit more from now on, it's a temporary thing.
Either way, that was all I wanted to say. Kind of depressing news, I know. So how about a little cake?

Just wanted to throw in my two cents that this story is INCREDIBLE. Did I originally start reading because it seemed like just a funny little satire story? Sure. But personally, I've thoroughly enjoyed the ramp up to being more serious. And absolutely, positively, please do not beat yourself up about your release rate. I am consistently stunned at the quality of the story you're telling. Hope your rough patch turns into smooth sailing soon.

That said, I'm glad you both noticed the issues with your pace and decided to dial it back. Not everyone can be pirateaba or Brandon Sanderson unfortunately. But you'll get better and faster with time so keep that in mind if the slowed pace gets ya down. Keep on keeping on chief, even when the going get's fucking rough. We'll be here, patiently waiting. And eat some fucking cake while you're at it.

I’ve seen so many stories get dropped eternally because their authors don’t pace themselves and treat writing stories like a race rather than a journey. Watching a story I like end suddenly because of burnout is way more depressing imo. You are right in thinking that maintaining grammar and quality prose is important but it’s not so important that you should beat yourself over the head if some mistakes get through, we are all human after all. Take care of yourself.
