The Rose of the Winds: a small introduction

Alice: let's start talking about Blood's Awakening, the campaign Vittorio stars in, with its most important thing: the party! The Rose of the Winds is composed of 7 different characters, and up here you can see the tokens (chibi style) we use to represent them in game.
The campaign is set in the year 357 from the foundation of the Altian kingdom (Altia is inspired by medieval/rinascimental Italy). There's currently a war with two neighbouring kingdoms (Rivaterra and Soveria) and that, of course, shaped the life of the party and the kingdom itself. But enough with the background, let's meet the characters!

Vittorio Respighi: he/him, human fighter, 50yo. Growing up in a rich household could never satiate Vittorio's appetite for adventure. He left his home a young man looking for trouble and came back years later, heartbroken, betrayed and scarred, to an early retirement. Now, at 50, he's turning a new leaf with new friends, looking for inner peace and doing what he loves.

(NO LONGER A PARTY MEMBER) Winter Fyer: it/its, tiefling monk, 27yo. Winter comes from a small town that always felt too constricting for it. Always looking for something more, for something that could fulfill its life, Winter left, looking for a place it could truly belong.

Caliban Alfieri: he/him, human wizard, 27yo. Born in an abusive household, Caliban always strived for the affection of a father who never really loved him. Caliban joined the army trying to win his family’s approval after almost being scammed by his “best friend”. Unfortunately, the war only gifted him a leg injury that forced him to take a momentary leave.

Celio: he/him, half elf warlock, 24 yo. Laurent Boulet comes from a village in the countryside of Rivaterra, a kingdom bordering Altia. When the war broke out, he joined the army, but luck was not on his side when a fireball hit him and killed him on the spot. Avandra, the Goddess of Death and Choices, had other plans for him: she chose him as her champion on earth, for dark things were on the horizon. Since then, Laurent goes by Celio, and has been wandering in Altia.

Edna Villarmosa: she/her, half elf bard, 26 yo. Edna was born in a loving family who encouraged and supported her love for music and the arts. She had an affair with a noblewoman who broke her heart badly. After that Edna has been traveling with a group of street artists to prove herself and her artistic worth.

Serpico:  they/them, elf paladin, 76 yo. Born in a noble family in Rivaterra, Serpico was chosen by Aurevia, the Goddess of the Sun, when they were young. They devoted their life to their faith until the unspeakable happened: a demon possessed their body and Serpico went on a killing spree, murdering one of their brothers too. Serpico fled the country and has been in Altia since then, tormented by guilt and feeling the need to atone for their sin.

Polvere: he/him, half elf cleric, 20 yo. Polvere always hated Cardeli, the secluded island he was born in, and especially how bigoted and narrow-minded its inhabitants were. Fed up with the life he led there, Polvere escaped when he was 19, seeking a new, freer life in Altia.
