Charlotte wasn't going to let Veronique's drunk ex show her up! She was really keen to make a good impression on her sultry, enigmatic date, so she decided to call Jay's bluff. At least, Charlotte hoped Jay was bluffing. She really had no idea what sort of 'test' the girl had in mind.
"Clearly, YOU weren't able to fulfill Veronique's needs, or she wouldn't have dumped you," Charlotte countered with a smirk. "I think that I'm more than capable of keeping her satisfied."
From the corner of her eye, Charlotte could see that Veronique was staring at her in surprise - and she seemed impressed by her bravada! Charlotte had apparently made the right move to make a good impression on her date.
"Oooh, it talksh!" Jay said in a mocking tone. "Sooo... does that mean you acshept my challenge? Letsh goe down to Club Circe and see which of ush really hash what it takesh to satishfy Ronnie!"
"You're on!" Charlotte replied, still maintaining the bold façade even though she secretly worried about just what the hell kind of challenge she had just accepted...

Fortunately, Club Circe was within walking distance, so they didn't have to call a taxi. The club was a converted fire station; the original brick structure had been built over a hundred years ago, and the doors used by the fire engines were still visible. However, the neon sign above the entrance and the steady beat of dance music made it clear to passersby that the old firehouse was now serving a different purpose.
There was no one loitering outside, and the windows had been painted over, so Charlotte could not see the interior. Yet as they neared the doors, the muffled sound of voices and the clinking of glassware became audible over the music. Charlotte suddenly felt apprehensive; she still had no idea what sort of test to which Jay had challenged her, but she would find out very soon. She hoped it wasn't something embarrassing.

As they stepped through the double doors, Charlotte felt a curious tingling sensation, as if a surge of electricity had passed through her body. She was still pondering the strange feeling when she caught sight of the waitress with the fox ears and tail. Any notion that the tail was just a costume prop was quickly dismissed, as the way it swung back and forth, curling around her thighs, was far too natural.
And... did that woman really have an udder?
"Charlotte, dear," Veronique said, smiling ruefully. "I normally wait until I've been seeing someone longer before I reveal this side of my life, but I might as well just come right out with it. Magic is real, and I am a sorceress..."
Charlotte continued to gape at the strange sights before her. Off to the left, a woman was juggling what appeared to be balls of lightning. One of the dancers on the stage was some sort of wolf girl with three rows of breasts...
"Club Circe caters to the magic-using community in town," Veronique continued with a sweep of her hands. "It is a transformation fetish club, where people indulge in their desire to transform other people into various things... or to be transformed themselves."
Veronique placed a sympathetic hand on Charlotte's arm, causing her to jump. "If this is too much for you to take in all at once, I would understand if you want to leave..."
Jay cackled. "Yesh, you can jusht run away like a shcared little girl!"
That insult snapped Charlotte back to reality. She was still struggling to come to grips with the fact that magic was real. With that knowledge, and the nature of Club Circe, the test Jay had challenged her to may prove to be more unusual - or dangerous - than she had expected.
What does Charlotte do?
