Here is a sneak peek of Ymogen and Xolaniera, two characters who will be featured in an upcoming chapter of Digital Damsel.

Countess Ymogen Draskoya

Ymogen is rather young to be a countess, having just reached the age of majority. She inherited the title under what might be considered unfortunate circumstances; her mother and predecessor, Countess Zindralla, was executed for attempting to assassinate her own sister, Yriskalla – who just happens to be the sovereign ruler of the Dark Elf kingdom of Dokkalvur.

Of course, the death of Ymogen’s mother left her in line to inherit the throne should Queen Yriskalla meet with an unfortunate end. Dark Elves are not known to be particularly trusting, and so the Queen packed Ymogen off to the human kingdom of Valois as her personal ambassador, intent on keeping the young countess far away from any court intrigue back in Dokkalvur.

In her official capacity as ambassador, Ymogen is a frequent visitor at the court of King Alain Damocette. When the Countess is at her leisure, one might encounter her in some of the higher-class nightclubs and restaurants in the city of Lyonne. Wherever Ymogen goes, her faithful bodyguard, the fierce warrior Xolaniera, is never far from her side.

Should Ymogen’s intimidating companion prove insufficient to dissuade potential troublemakers, the Countess herself is a skilled mage and quite capable of defending herself if need be…
