Once the Medusid-20 infection reaches advanced stages, the infected lose the ability to move or care for themselves. They will eventually end up immobilized wherever they happen to be at the time. Owing to the pernicious impulse to wander and spread the contagion that the virus instills in its victims, they may be far away from home by the time this happens. Even though they are no longer able to self-ambulate, these immobile victims of Medusid-20 remain contagious; do not approach them or attempt to interact with them, even if they are friends or family members.

However, that does not mean that your loved ones need be left outside, exposed to the elements! If you know of victims whose infection has progressed to this stage - whether they are indoors or outside - please inform the nearest Medusid-20 Unified Response Force (MURF) field office. A retrieval team with protective gear will be sent to safely collect the victim(s) and transfer them to a local containment center. There, the victims of Medusid-20 are attended by qualified health care professionals who can provide them with the specialized attention they need.
