Jacked - Chapter 2 Poll

SPOILERS! If you haven’t read Chapter 2 yet, you should do so before reading further.
Oh, no! It looks like our hero, Chris, has graduated from heartbroken Vietnam vet to unwilling guinea pig! At least the aliens haven’t subjected him to any anal probing… well, not yet, anyway.
I am pretty sure you can guess what Seela’s “research proposal” will entail. However, thanks to the wonders of her species’ advanced technology, there are several potential methods she could use to rob poor Chris of his masculinity. First of all, the aliens could change Chris’ body to female through genetic recombination with their nanotech; basically, they would be rebuilding his body from the ground up.
Alternatively, they could create a female clone and then copy Chris’ memories into its brain. Of course, that would leave Chris’ original body intact. In that scenario, they can decide what they do with the original Chris later; the aliens can keep his body in stasis indefinitely aboard their ship. This path could leave open the possibility of male and female versions of Chris meeting at some point.
Aside from the cloning versus rebuilding option, there are also two possible female bodies that Chris might end up with; one based on his own DNA, and one based on Jenny’s DNA (taken from a lock of hair taped to the back of that photograph). If you want to compare what the two female versions of Chris would look like, download the image linked here (Jenny is on the right).
We’re not going to leave this important decision up to Seela; you all get to vote on it!
Before you vote, think about not only how you would prefer Chris to look, but also how you want to see him interact with other people later in the story. For example, if he looks like Jenny, there will be a potential for mistaken identity down the road. The psychological effect on Chris would also be quite different if he suddenly finds himself in the body of his ex-girlfriend!
So, keeping all of that in mind, which method should the aliens use to create a female version of Chris?
Comments
Additional note: Chris' ancestry is a mixture of German and Mexican (the former on his father's side, the latter on his mother's), while Jenny's ancestry is mostly English and Irish (several generations back). Chris' Latin ancestry is somewhat evident from his appearance (including the female form based on his DNA); this would have some impact on how other people react to him, but it would mostly be in terms of the "flavor" of the story :)
