Adler Gaming Channel Idea Poll
Added 2021-02-25 19:00:03 +0000 UTCSo I am thinking about making a second channel just for my video game streams, but the question is do YOU the patrons think that is a good idea?
I feel as if the RCT streams clutter up the YouTube Feed and make my videos seem less important to the masses.
please vote below and leave a comment about your thoughts! Thanks!

Yeah. For a decision as big and difficult as this, more folks should have their say about this other than just us Patrons
2021-02-26 23:27:33 +0000 UTCUltimately I'd view it as a (potentially difficult) branding decision. Are you an animator or a content creator? Is it your (human you) channel or Adler's (the character) channel or blurry/both?
2021-02-26 00:25:19 +0000 UTCI don't have a strong opinion, but some thoughts come to mind... A potential alternative to consider could be to unlist older gaming streams but make sure they're included in playlists, leaving only the few most recent steams fully public. That would give you the benefit of "tidiness," but you'd lose the ability for The Algorithm™ to promote those unlisted videos. A potential benefit to a second channel, depending on how you brand it, is it could give you a place to more comfortably share and experiment with additional "other" or "not main channel animation" content.
2021-02-26 00:16:47 +0000 UTCI think it depends on how much extra content you can put up in the interim. The gaming videos will interest a portion of your audience, but constant, lower-view uploads might make the algorithm not recommend the more substantive videos. Whereas if you had a second channel and it got the same traction, it can hum along steadily, the people who really want it will go to it, plus you can do fun cross promotional opportunities as part of the WING TV network. I am of course entirely talking from a naval gazing perspective as I don't run a channel but I think while video gamers and furries are a strong Venn diagram, you could be doing other things with the channel. It's not really something I'm especially interested in as I've only ducked my head in now and again. I remember the Speedfuns which were lots of fun as a single stream, but doing it on the weekly on the same game can be a bit repetitive. Long way of saying that I think making it a second channel would be a good idea, but you might want to ask more than Patrons.

2021-02-25 23:55:34 +0000 UTCI'm all in favor of organization. If you feel like one subject area of your videos is taking up too much space, to me it's a perfectly fine idea to give it its own publicity.
2021-02-25 23:20:50 +0000 UTCIt's a difficult question. Personally, I like having all of your content in one place (categorization via playlists helps). However, I'm in the category of viewers who has notifications on and watch everything you post. I could see how a new viewer could find your channel and struggle to find your other work. This could drive down growth. On the OTHER OTHER hand, engagements with your streams are a big part of the youtube promotion algorithm as well.

2021-02-25 20:58:31 +0000 UTCPersonally, I think its fine as long as your content is categorized into Playlists keeping things organized. If you feel like these streams are preventing people from finding your animated content, it may be a good idea to do another channel. Personally, im not a fan of dividing your audience but do what's best for you!
