The Tuesday To-Do! - Week 6 - Gas Leak with a chance of Car Trouble

Welcome to this issue of the Tuesday To-Do, where I speak candidly to you, the Patrons, from ME. the Eagle.

WEEK 6 OVERVIEW

We always start this off with the week overview of my hours! So here is that WEEEE!

Blazen randomly got Monday off (Which caused a whole stir at work that is far too much like an episode of Downton Abbey to go into here) so I am a little behind as compared to normal, but we should be good to go on Tuesday and Wednesday to get my hours in!

So now let's break it down y'all.

THE METAL DETECTOR

Work is slowing on TMD for now, as we are getting ready to move and I don't want to have to try and pick up that nonsense in the middle of moving! However This week I worked on the literal metal detector!

Right now it's just a VERY BASIC SHAPE, as Toon Boom hates big huge models. the way it works is it uses a reference shape, then connects to the full real file and renders it out via Maya, the 3D software I use!

TLDR - 3D Good!

I had to do quite a bit of troubleshooting as it was rendering weird, but we are looking pretty solid now!

Also, on Thursday and Friday of last week I worked on the Layout! Layout is the "Building the scene" part and it sucks and it's boring! BLEGH! But alas, no film has ever been able to pull off the "No Layout" strat yet. more research will be needed for that.

Anyway, long winded words aside, here is some snips of the layouts!

Bug on the Beach!

The Beach set is actually also 3D! I DESPISE drawing Backgrounds and would rather tediously model everything. More details will be added as time goes on, but for now this is what we got!

ADLER ANIMATES - FIRE SAFETY

I went through all of the currently submitted Fire Safety Skits for New Adler Animates! And they have all been SO GOOD so far! Big shout out to these Patrons for having gotten them finished on time!

BUT! We are still taking submissions for it!

PLEASE READ THIS POST AND SUBMIT SOMETHING! I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER! 

It doesn't need to be AMAZINGLY GOOD WOW! And the more home grown the better! I wanna give you all the ability to have your work seen and this is the PERFECT way!

Also a question was asked about Adler Actors, and how that process will work! Adler Actors will still be picked to answer questions in the credit roll! AND if we get a bunch of submissions and I can't put them all in the episode, they will be prioritized! (I don't think this will ever actually happen, but that's the contingency plan.)

I also worked on the Script! If you wanna give it a little look you may!

Roller Coaster Tycoon

WOW! We are getting very close to being done with Corkscrew Follies! Thanks to everyone who tunes in each week! You rock my socks!

Roller Coaster Tycoon will be taking a break until we are able to get the office setup at the new house! Very exciting!

Roll Fur Initiative

We had a good battle against a bunch of birds this week and I walked right through a fire and Itchy Gave Up 

Mod and FNY Meetings

So I want to try having monthly meetings with our Mod Team and Flappy New Year teams, so we started that adventure this week! Hopefully this help create a more united team and bring better a better sense of community to our staff!

Rood the Roo

So the gig is up, I, Foster Eber am also Rood the Roo! I had been in the works of making a new character for the Adler canon for a LONG time now. Basically when I started doing this full time I felt the channel needed a sort of lovable antagonist. And how better to introduce the new antagonist than with a move and he being our grouchy next door neighbor.

I like to think of him as a sort of foil to Adler, as well as a way for me to act more candidly on Twitter. DO NOT GET ME WRONG, I love being Adler, but it's a LOT sometimes and being able to let off a little steam is always good. I like to think of the dynamic as sort of like Spongebob Patrick and Squidward from the first few seasons of Spongebob. Rood is a smart neighbor who just really dislikes how peppy and upbeat Blazen and Adler are.

So here is a little character description for Rood if anyone cares.

A True Cincinnatian through and through, Rood loves all things local. But other than that he basically hates everything. He is grumpy and downright mean at times, and is never afraid to say what's on his mind. Rood enjoys solitude, classic music, and a nice cigar from time to time. He wears a gross green biker jacket he found at a thrift store, and tight jeans, (Gotta show off his roo legs) No shoe actually fits him so he tears the toes off so he can at least abide by the "No Shoes No Shirt" policies of most places.

It has been to develop this character, and I hope you get to like him, because he sure as heck isn't going to like you!

Please note that his twitter responses are rude, but this is in no way an actual attack or way I think of you! I think it's good and healthy to poke fun at ourselves, and if you are upset by something I say through him please let me know and I will apologize through him. He is mean but wants to be a good person!

PLEASE TRY AND STICK WITH CANON THOUGH AND PLAY ALONG. It's not fun to break the magic and tell Santa he isn't real, so don't do that to me! I'll be VERY MAD. So far everyone has been doing a great job so keep it up! 

Also a suit is already in planning so look forward to that!

Mental Wellbeing and "In Real Life" Segment

So yea, if you weren't around this week we kind of had a terrible time. Our rental house had a MAJOR Gas Leak in the basement and I had to evacuate with Lizzo. A lot of our houseplants also died which makes me SO SAD. Hopefully at the new house we won;t have this problem, but it's also not something you can just plan for right?

We are okay now, so that is good.

Blazen's car has also been out of commission, so we had to teach him manual, which is fine! Issue is the Mini was leaking oil, and we had to replace the Turbo on it to make it stop. So a lot of time was spent fixing it, to then have to fix it more, which is ALWAYS A BUMMER. Cars are a huge investment though, and next to a house it's the most expensive thing you may own. So putting time and money into it is fine, but it's still no fun.

As for mental health, the house purchasing process is so tedious and I just wanna be moved in. we have known for like over a MONTH now and we just wanna GO. I also HATE moving, and packing and BLEGH, But we gotta do it ya know? I'm very excited for the new office and studio space though!

The house we are currently in is VERY SMALL for two grown ass men with fursuits and a lot of hobbies, and the new house is well over double the size and about the same on monthly payments! So Yay! Here are a few photos of the house! If you try to figure out where it is I will be so mad and yell at you as Rood I swear to god.

I have been a little downtrodden as of late, but I think things will spruce up once we get into the new place!

 Now onto Week 7!

Week 7 is probably going to be all moving, but who knows! I am purposefully not planning on getting much done, but we will for sure stream something at the new house during that time!
