I backed the deluxe box set of The Land of Eem, and new RPG and setting from Exalted Funeral. I've heard it described as Lord of the Rings with Muppets, and I am so down with that. Almost everything about this excites me. The rules are interesting, more XP is given for exploration than combat, the setting is charming and whimsical, and the overall production is off the charts good.

Let's start with the incredibly illustrated hex map featuring the game's setting.

There are numerous biomes, each with their own settlements, dungeons, wilderness terrain and things to discover.

The main rule book is well written and interesting. It’s overflowing with useful tables, and while there aren’t dedicated solo rules, it should be very easy to adapt.

I adore the art style. I know it won’t be to everyone’s liking, and that’s OK.

The core rule book has a good bestiary, and it’s also supplemented with an extended bestiary.

The real star of the show is the setting and campaign book. It is overflowing with interesting biomes, settlements, dungeons, flora, fauna, NPCs and quests to interact with.

I will definitely be recording a detailed episode on this game, and I'm hoping to also record some detailed let's play sessions. This is a world I want to play in.
