A closer look at ZombBN1

It's no secret that I'm incredibly fond of Paul Stapleton's work. Pauper's Ladder is currently my number one adventure game of all time, and I love the other games from him that I've played as well. Recently I was lucky enough to be able to purchase his last copy of ZombN1, a kind of re-theme of BN1, a game all about Brighton, but now with zombies! The game is incredibly charming. However, it's not made for solo or co-op play. It's a very competitive game that pits a zombie player against the other players, and the other players are also competing against each other. There is a lot of take-that in the game. I am, however, working on some solo rules to play the game, and I'll detail those in an upcoming episode later this week.

Anyhow, I wanted to proved this brief photo essay showing the look of this game in more detail for you all, because I think it's charming, fun, inventive, and totally entertaining. Enjoy the images!

The bustling artistic town of Brighton is being overrun by the living dead!

The zombies can be powered up via nightmare and zombie perk cards!

I instantly bonded with Melita over our mutual love for Primal Scream! Screamdelica is an album on my top 100 of all time.

Survivors can use sneak and loot cards to give them an advantage over the zombies and each other.

There are a whole mess of sneak cards...

 ...loot cards...

 ...encounter cards...

...and objective cards! Lot's of variety in the game.

The survivors can also gain powerful ranged weapons via military air drops, and earn their own perk cards to give them a chance to survive!

Take back our town! Down with the living dead!

I have not. Need to spend more time developing. Everything I have so far is mentioned in the video. :)

Just bought this - love it - Daniel did you ever make your solo rules available - would love a copy if at all possible - but no worries if not :)

I love Paul’s style! It gives my eyes a break from the black and white doom I normally enjoy!
