January 2025 - Monthly Recap Video - Patreon Exclusive

Hey all! Here is the video looking back on the month of January 2025.

In the video I mention why, but I wanted to apologize for not getting the January zoom meet up scheduled. I will get something on the books for February in the next couple of weeks!

Once again, thank you all so much for making the Dungeon Dive possible!

Hi Daniel, just wanted to address your last comment of the video, where you were wondering if the channel is offering anything besides advertising, and how that affects consumerism. First, I appreciate you bringing games to my attention that I wasn't aware of. I don't always have the funds to purchase everything you showcase, but it helps raise awareness of games that I would never have found on my own but interest me a lot, like Doom Pilgrim and Forgotten Depths. Second, I love your videos where you show new ways we can use what we already own. A good example of this is how you used the Dungeon Degenerates map board with Mork Borg to play a solo RPG. I have no idea how successful these kinds of videos are for the channel, but I love repurposing games I already own and combining them to make something cool and unique. Anyway, I love your channel and I hope you keep doing what you're doing. There's nothing wrong with allowing people to escape from our current shitty reality, and you help us with that.

Its a shame about the Arkham Horror series underperforming - I find it super interesting and well worth a watch (I havent finished the series yet though!). I wonder though if it is because the content is linked to the AH board game rather than the AH Living Card Game, which was my entry into the mythos and this world. People didnt reccomend me AH board game becuase of the set up time and fiddilieness, looking at BGG rankings it does seem like the card game generates a lot more interest these days. Just speaking from my own experience. The card game has made me interested in some of the books still though, my favourite campaign Carcosa is tied to the King in Yellow. I also enjoyed Edge of the Earth (Mountains of madness) and Hemlock Vale (Colour out of time and space). So if you were looking to branch out thouse could be interesting background for AH LCG players.
