These two have gotten under each others skins since the beginning and care deeply about one another - for reasons they still don't understand. Overjoyed to see even the beginnings of an olive branch here. I am so looking forward to the progression and them having a conversation where it's just...100% friendly. I love the nobility of Claire and how hard she tries to hide her heart. I wonder how much of the memory erasure impacted their relationship until now. For the ranger, was it like this constant loud gut instinct that kept telling her something was wrong, that there were secrets all around her? A voice she just couldn't shut up not matter how hard she tried. A bit like gaslighting (though circumstances and not a specific person was doing it). How hard would that be to carry? Looking forward to hearing more about how this all plays out!
