So much happening this episode, that I noticed something new even now watching it for what feels like the 100th time:
When Suki & co find Appa, we know we are after the Serpents pass (they mention Suki meeting the GAang). At the end of Serpents pass, the drill is already in front of Ba Sing Se, with Azula in it. Azula then proceeds to fight Aang, so she knows he is in Ba Sing Se. Why is she suddenly again out in the wild following random fur trails?
Doesn't have to be a plot hole, but seems quite strange / convenient (or inconvenient) to me.

Aang is from the SOUTHERN, not western temple. That's the first they visit on their way from the SOUTHpole. Could be that he was born at a different one, but at least if your theory is correct and Patik went to the eastern temple when Aang was being sent there, then Aang was at that point in the south, not west.

Galifrey Gals have a good Avatar Reaction! I also recommend Bad Medicine. They are fun to watch too. ^_^
I love your reaction Veggie. This episode is so well done I've been excited for you to watch it

You already did hear a bit of the new Iroh VA in the previous episode- the scene in Iroh's tale when he was with the kids playing the game. I think it's just one or two lines. However, it's just a bit of a test cameo at this point I guess. This episode had Mako for his one line to Zuko when he saw Appa.

Also will you be making the season finale the same way you did the s1 finale?

A lot of people don't pick up on this, but when Guru Patik says that he's been waiting a long time, he isn't kidding. if you notice, Guru Patik said he went to the EASTERN air temple because of his vision about helping Aang, but Aang is from the WESTERN Air Temple. The Eastern Temple is where he was supposed to be sent for training when he ran away and ended up in the iceberg. Guru Patik has been waiting there patiently for 100 years, never giving up on the vision he had, even when the Avatar disappeared for a century.

Well, what a nice cry I had! My heart always breaks for Appa in that episode. If you will rewatch the desert episode, maybe your heart will break harder this time like ours did cause now you know more about the connection Appa and Aang have. We could see how small Appa was when they met and Aang didn't had his arrows then... The way they are bonded for life... And also we already discussed how much Aang lost since the Airnomads being wiped out... Appas memorys were full with brothers and sisters or at least just other bisons.. his family and friends. Just gone. Except Momo and Aang. It's so Heartbreaking.... Anyway, great reaction as always. Have a great week Veggie!

Yeah I must admit that was where my mind went to in the moment, now I realise it doesn't make much sense XD

A hard to watch but excellent episode. Not a lot of shows would have the guts to portray animal abuse this openly. Btw, a lot of people freak out at the line "maybe we could sell him for parts". I thinks its often misinterpreted this as them wanting to...well....you know. However, I believe that they actually mean to use the profit of selling him to purchase "parts" for whatever equipment they use. It makes more sense grammatically.

Also, momo wakes up when appa screams when he is captured. In the last episode. The sand boat the gaang got in the dessert was the one appa sneezed away. Aang also was wrong when he felt appas presence when we went there first bc appa wasnt in ba sing de by then. Also ty lee telling the girls they are not as pretty as them is something you should note
