Giles appears on screen: *Veggie.exe stopped working* But no worries Veggie, watching along I also was completely stunned as well!🙈😅 I also have to give the series some real props for how Willows turn was handled. Because when she first threatened to "turn evil" I was just like: "Oh come one! I mean I get it Willow has done some questionable things in the past (like nearly cursing Veruca). But going from there to what you're wanting me to believe she's turning into now (magic adict, uncaring sexual abuser, potential next villain etc.) that's a stretch...and I honestly don't believe it!" But then the sow did something truly brilliant (at least to me) and went like: «No, you’re right, you didn’t misjudge Willow for multiple seasons. And she didn’t just randomly completely lose conscience and turn evil. HOWEVER, she DID do does fucked up things. But it was in a time of weakness, and she got carried away. And once she fully realized what she’d done she truly regretted it and tried to redeem herself and make up for it». So when this second turn of Willow came around, I was immediately prepared to believe that she had the capacity to make a huge mistake in an emotionally charged up situation like that. …and once she’d absorbed enough of the dark magic the show also made a real point in this episode about the fact that Willow is certainly still in there but also not 100% in control anymore. So her gradually growing more and more antagonistic to her friends over the course of the episode also made complete sense to me. And in addition to that the show really found a "perfect" cause for Willow to fall to the dark side. Because even though I was quickly and solidly on the Buffy train of «we can't let Willow kill anyone, not even the piece of shit that is Warren!" my honest to God first reaction to Warren shooting Tara was wishing the worst pain possible on him!😡😯

2025-09-22 20:16:51 +0000 UTCDamn, I'm late with my comment from the previous week again. Dawn collapsed because, as Willow said, "The trip can be kind of rough," as in, bringing them from Rack's to the Magic Box. Buffy collapsed too, so I'm surprised you only commented on Dawn. Rack was a warlock, not a demon. Giles has also been a warlock since his youth (remember his dark magic history with Ethan Rayne and the others?) I also like Xander. I love flawed, messy characters. Yes, Alyson did some of her own stunts for that fight. Also, it's Clem, not Crem lol Willow was definitely implying a threat to harm Dawn, but who can say if she would've actually brought herself to go through with it, even as dark Willow. I think her insults about Dawn are based on thoughts she's actually had, but we all have negative thoughts about people we care about sometimes. Imagine saying the worst thing you've ever thought about someone to their face. As for her not killing Anya, I think it's just because it wasn't necessary. Turning Dawn back into mystical energy would've given Willow a power boost, but killing Anya serves no purpose when Willow can just knock her out to stop the protection spell. I also love season 6, but I know it's not for everyone. Now I'm off to watch your finale reaction, can't wait!
