Absolute Top Tier!! This episode had everything! Comedy, progression, life lessons, drama, attack, peril and new characters! I absolutely love how (this) golden trio act regarding the plot, and appears / reveal of the map!
WE FINALLY SEE DADDY SOKATARA! Glad to hear he is at least 'recently' alive! I was worried...
Love me some June! She is awesome (apart from one part of her which I bring up a few times... XD). I am sure we will see her again!
Appa is the main character.

2025-09-02 23:34:32 +0000 UTCI always remember this one being one of the weakest episodes but Im always nicely surprised on a rewatch :D I really appreciate the lessons and character writing attempted but it feels a bit clunky and too fast-paced at times. But other than that yeah a great episode with cool new characters, more seeds planted, great comedy and more building on the characters and this great journey. The Katara you are drunk bit at the start was hilarious! <3

As you watch Sokka's development over the next 2+ books, keep in mind what his father said to him before he left "Being a man is knowing where you're needed the most." Fun fact: This is the first time we see Appa participate in a fight!

I agree with the whipping though, she is not supposed to be an evil character or anything, so why does she excessively whip her companion? I think they wanted to give her a weapon that parrallels Nylas tongue, but they could have easily done that without her using it on Nyla the whole time...

I like that they had Aang try to hide that, it really shows hes not perfect and makes mistakes, he is still a kid and one who has lost a lot of people he thought of as family as you pointed out. I loved the scene with the fortune teller talking to iroh.

When I view it with the other collections, it says there are only 13 episodes, but when I go in I count 15. I worry this is because I am the owner and they may not appear for others.. :(
