THE DRAFT

I cracked open a new notebook and am currently on the fourth and final draft of the  Protect the Sacred mechanics. For me, this is the stage of game development when all the features that will show up are finalized and the pipeline starts to take shape. If anything new shows up beyond this point will likely bloat the process and as such would need to be vital to the final product.

This is where I start writing out the things I left for later like "I'll ask the player 10 questions about x". What exactly are the playbooks I'm using. Initial math. I spent a whole day working getting the dice to feel good.

It'll take a bit, but damn am I really pleased with some of the mechanics so far. I made a giant twitter thread detailing how I'm planning on making my EXP system work.

When I'm a bit closer to being finished with this draft I'll share the list of initial design goals. I hope y'all keep me honest.
