Hello, folks! Let's take a sneak peek behind the scenes here.

Right now, we have some important things to announce for the future of our project.

It's been a while since we started developing Our Home, but to be honest, the beginning was a bit tricky. We didn't quite know how to do everything the right way, so we had to learn a lot. Even though I have experience in programming and games, creating a visual novel romance from scratch turned out to be quite a challenge. But you know, I love a challenge.

During this time, I taught my wife what I knew, and she is now my main partner in development. She's the talented artist behind the beautiful images you see.

We acknowledge that the game's prologue wasn't all that great, and the main character had a, shall we say, interesting appearance, not to mention he looked a bit like Lord Farquaad from the movie Shrek. The idea was to portray someone who wasn't very fashion-savvy, living away from civilization for a while. We know he got a few laughs, but we decided to give him a makeover when the character went to the hairdresser and spruced up his look.

As we learned new things, the prologue got a bit neglected, but we always intended to redo it. Along with the scenes featuring Emily, which are being developed for the upcoming release, we have some flashbacks of the character's at the orphanage. It would be nice to depict these scenes with the main character redesigned, and that's who you see in the cover photo of this "behind the scenes" update.

Our idea is to gradually revamp the prologue without affecting the monthly releases of new content. This will happen in parallel and seamlessly, and we have no idea when it will be completed, as we are really focused on bringing new content to you.

(Don't worry, when everything is finished, you'll be able to play the prologue without having to restart the game. It will work like a replay! πŸ˜„)

Okay, which part of the prologue will be exactly re-work?

We understand that the rework ends when the character gets a haircut, and until then, all images will be redone, and all texts will be improved.
