Okay, so Eli wanted an up-close pic of the Paimon tattoo on my back. This is it.
I don’t think I ever fully broke down what the image represents, so to steer away from sexually-explicit content for a moment - here goes…
As some of you may know, im a devout follower of the Left Hand Path and work intimately with Paimon. Besides me left hand that bears his sigil, my back is basically an homage and tribute to my love for him.
The all seeing Eye sits atop my back. I’m sure most of you are familiar with that image and what it represents. The middle sits Paimon on his dromedary holding a sword. When summoning Paimon, he’s often times riding his beast into the mortal plane. The trumpeters to the sides are signing his entrance upon summoning. Paimon is also very partial to music, shiny objects, and loud noises - he’s a bit boisterous in that regard. The peacock feathers are symbolic of a few things. The “eye” in the middle is to ward off evil towards me and my familiars or loved ones. They’re also a sign of rebirth, strength and royalty.
This design was made by an ex-mentor who I unfortunately had a falling out with. I’m really quite sad that it had to happen and a lesson in what you can’t quite trust fellow magicians who mentor. For me, I think he felt how powerful my relationship was with some of the Goetic spirits and possibly severed our friendship. I don’t know. But I do miss him and hope he’s well. He taught me a lot about transmutation and the powers of evocation and invocation.
So, now you know a little more about my back tattoo and the meaning. Fun fact, but the star on my back was the only thing that bled during this whole tattoo. A part of me likes to think I gave my blood as an offering and was (hopefully) rewarded.
