I have Marcus Koch, one of the most talented SFX artists at the house, en route to his film in Knoxville. Marcus is actually the person doing our SFX for our film “All Wounds Scream at once”. Which…that film, unfortunately, is pushed back yet again. (Film world)
I totally had every full intention yesterday to do some SFX practice, but alas…tiredness. I’m working my ass off and ended up clocking in 54 hours last week. It’s a lot, but the money is decent and with me and Jim heading to MEX in two weeks - everything counts. This Mexico trip is partly leisure and partly trying to fix some stuff with Jim’s pension. The Mexican government loves to implement rules that are crazy for pensions, but that’s neither here nor there.
At any rate, for some reason I feel guilty for not doming SFX yesterday. I’ll get over it. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend thus far. I don’t usually have weekends off so this is…nice. Is this what being human feels like lol?

2025-05-26 17:03:49 +0000 UTCI wouldn't call it being human, I would call it a break in the "american dream," which just isn't so appealing when you have a day off after capitalism continues to grind our bones to dust. You just have a little time to dust your bones off before getting back to the grind. I myself, am disabled, and couldn't work that many hours no matter how hard I tried. Your appetite is hard to fill, you ferocious lil cannibal. How interesting your table must look, when you scoot your seat back, and give your belly room to breathe.
