The mystery is getting all wrapped up! Yeah Shenmei is SO bitter! I'm so glad we got the brief humor of Maomao with the snakes haha! OMG for real, like Maomao sees the real Shisui and I just wanna see them get to be friends together D': Ok thank you for clearing up the reasoning behind the abortion medicine! I wasn't sure if Shenmei just didn't want her getting pregnant, or if that was a rebellion thing. I can see now it was another act of rebellion against Shenmei. Shisui knows all that she's putting on the line here, it's so sad!!! I mean, if someone got the kids OUT after they were presumed to be "dead", they might still live on...? I'm not sure though!!

2025-12-27 13:48:58 +0000 UTCThat's a really messed up way of doing things, regarding the emperor, but yeah....I get that things were just messed up in that way at this time :/ Shisui's whole life is about masking! Oh that's so sad the mom didn't acknowledge him! Poor Suirei! OOOHHHH I mean it's hard to compare these two, they have both done some MESSED UP stuff, but yeah, I see your point! Yeah that's kinda what I was thinking about Jinshi's force, yikes. Right, I knew Shisui was using the medicine, I just couldn't understand quite what they were telling us regarding the reason. HAHAHAHA those snakes were definitely the victim in that scenario :P

2025-12-18 15:39:03 +0000 UTC“We have a lot to cover in the last episode.” 🐸. Wanna tell me the last time that WASN’T the case? 🐸? 😅 I don’t quite put Suirei’s bloodline together because the family tree is so convoluted, but they did pretty much spell it out for you (we really need a visual aid for this 😂) in this episode. 🐸. Regarding the late emperor, and his tastes - remember that families actually sent their kids to him just for that purpose - TRY not to read too much into that based on the time period - and understand that if you are chosen, it’s not just you who is honored, but your family benefits as well. 🐸. Which explains why Shenmei is so resentful because of everything she “thought” she could’ve had. 🐸. Shisui is really a master of disguise - she never got recognized by her own mother, so she’s gotten really good at putting on a mask. 🐸. But she’s not just putting on a personality mask, she’s putting on her entire identity under wraps - in fact she had to keep up a mask around her mother. 🐸. Did you notice that Kyou-u’s mother didn’t even acknowledge he was there when Shenmei popped up? 🐸? I wonder if Shisui and Shenmei picked up on that - Suirei did see the note in Maomao’s robe and put two and two together. 🐸. “The last time we used the Taibon it was super effective.” 🐸. There’s a reason Suirei acted like that… 🐸. So, quick question - who’s worse, the late emperor who’s taking people offered to him, even though he’s aware everything he’s doing is bad and can’t help himself, or Shenmei, who’s basically ruining the lives of everyone around her on purpose - what she’s doing to those women is disgusting - and not showing a shred of empathy? 🐸? Who’s worse, the out of control, or the in control villain? 🐸? As for why Shisui did what she did, you seem to be missing a key point so I will spell it out here - if Jinshi ‘s army wins, the ENTIRE clan will be put to death. 🐸. That is an ironclad law, and no one can reverse it - men, women, children, are all subject to it. 🐸. So before you go rooting for Jinshi’s force, remember that whoever wins is going to cause casualties. 🐸. Oh, and… Shisui did use the abortion medicine because she had to be Concubine Loulan - the emperor was required to “see” her - which explains how Lihua’s lady in waiting managed to get ahold of some of the abortion medicine from the caravan. 🐸. Oh, to wrap up on a lighter note… Maomao eating the snake was hilarious, but they really needed her to channel Rosharch from the Watchmen movie when the snakes came out and she took out her hair stick as a utensil. 🐸. “I’m not trapped in here with you… you’re trapped in here with ME!” 😈 🐸.

2025-12-17 17:21:54 +0000 UTCSo finally the whole mystery about the lost princess is out, well, almost all but you will see it very soon. But yeah, Shenmei had extra reason to hate Suirei even if the poor girl didn't do a thing to her. First her lady in waiting, Taihou, had a kid with the emperor instead of her, then the said kid, the lost princess, grew up and had a kid too, with the man she come back after leaving the rear palace, she had some reason to be pissed off, but she have gone way too far into madness and cruelty. I will just say that you will learn a little more about her and Shiso later, so be patient. Maomao in the taibon is a very good scene to ease the tension just before things go nuts again, but yeah, Shisui knew that Maomao would be safe in it and that why she talked about it. Now for Shisui... Ah my poor and sweet Shisui, in another life you could have been the best of friend (or more) with Maomao, the way she looked when Maomao called her "Shisui"... I need to pause to swipe some tears. She is truly kind and care a lot for Maomao, if only she wasn't used in this political war. When Maomao ask her about the abortion drugs and the lantern fruit, that because this is a way to make sure to not become pregnant, even if she was send to be "the new mother royale", she did what she can to not have kids, that show you already that she was going against what Shenmei and maybe Shiso have planned for her. Ruining the gunpowder storage and making them weaker to face the army is also a way to go against Shenmei. Shisui said it herself, the stronghold will fall, she already know it, she already know that her whole clan will be eliminated, including her. She is ready to die but know she had to do something before her final breath, one of those things was to "put the babies to sleep" if I can say it like that, because it will still be a more peaceful way to go than being executed. And even if she made them drink the resurrection potion, wouldn't them be executed after they would have awoken again ? The only sure thing that I could say is... be patient, wait, and prepare some tissues.

2025-12-17 17:17:06 +0000 UTCReturning to this episode, I immediately think as Maomao mentioned being 10 years younger that "damn, that's gotta be APTX4869." 😂😂😂 Yeah, on the children's case. It is indeed terrible, but also, it's seems like there was no other choice. But hey, Shisui never said what poison she make them drink right? And why did Shisui directly take Maomao there? She can just avoid the topic or just say that they have drink the poison. I guess there have to be a reason for why Maomao should be with the poisoned children. Actually, Maomao just asked.
