Hey everyone!!! AND WE'RE BACK with season 8, episode 10 of My Hero Academia!!!! AHHHH you guys, they got me so much - first Uraraka being helped by her friends in her darkest moment, then ERI SINGING?!?!! DANG, they were giving up closure for everyone here - Overhaul, Spinner, Nagant, etc.!! Even Edgeshot!!! I'm so glad he's gonna be ok! But the Uraraka scenes were just so touching! And who the fudge was that in the after credits?!?! Great ep!! Enjoy! ~ MH

Awww it's a moving scene for sure! She's amazing! And SUCH a well done female character in a shonen!!! Couldn't agree more! I don't blame you for loving her, I do too! I'd love it if Gentle and LaBrava became heroes! That's the thing, like there's ALWAYS more to the story and I feel like knowing that will be a big part of trying to make sure this doesn't happen again. Oh ok, thanks for clarifying about the embers! Ahhhh I'm not ready to say goodbye :(((((((

I agree, friendship is a huge theme here! I love the Eri Protection Squad here and that's so funny about the VA! That's exactly what I said, like two things can be true at once. OMG is Spinner's manga MHA?!?!? I never even thought about that haha. Poor Uraraka! It's survivor's guilt for sure. Izuku would understand more than anyone, I'm so glad he was there for her! OMG she's like the only one who could out-cry me :P Aww yeah, I'd heard that there was a lot of anger around one of the fan ships when the manga ended, I didn't know the details...but yeah, now it makes sense! Omg Mineta! AHHHH playing the Eri card was playing dirty, like since when are my reactions not big enough, they'd eclipse the sun if they got any bigger LOL!! That's the thing, like truly, how do we stay vigilant and keep this from happening again?! Same, I'd truly like to know!!

If you were trying to put a subject on this episode, I think it might be “friendship.” It’s all over the episode. In different ways. There’s Gentle and La Brava at the start, there’s Kaina (sniper girl) and I think it was Hawks she was talking to? She’s not wrong about being unsure how society will react after what Midoriya did. The stuff with Chisaki (Overhaul) and his boss was interesting. (Also, hey, it’s that VA again - you’d pick up on him a lot faster now because of JJK and Orb - little did you know then). It seems Deku had it arranged so the boss come down to keep reminding him what he did to Eri. But it’s also so Eri wouldn’t have to open that wound anymore. The documentary style of the Shigaraki interviews paired with what Spinner was saying, paints an interesting picture: neither of them are wrong. He was an evil bastard. But he also had people who cared about him, as well. (How much do you want to bet Spinner’s story gets turned into a successful manga/anime franchise btw? No reason… 👀) Of course the real kicker is the Deku x Uraraka scene - she’s so upbeat and outgoing that it’s a bit jarring to see her like this. I believe it’s what is called “survivor’s guilt” - nothing she did was wrong, but she’ll always wonder if there wasn’t another way. It’s part of who she is, which is why Deku is the best foil in this case, because he wonders if Tenko could’ve been saved by him. The narrative irony in this s end is she’s been everything Deku needed up to this point, and now, he was perceptive enough to realize something was wrong. Sometimes it takes a good friend to detect someone else is hurting who doesn’t usually show it outwardly. It’s his turn to be what she needed, even if it was just a shoulder to cry on. (We might need to take a screenshot of her tears because I think she might’ve given you a run for your money this time. 😅) Of course, everyone is going to support her, and they showed up to tell her, in no uncertain terms, you’re an idiot to try to hide it from us. I do think just the fact that Deku was able to find her before anyone else, and also, the place he found her shows he’s a little more perceptive than we thought a week ago. On a funny side note one of the anime feeds posted a hilarious headline after this episode: Deku x Bakugo shippers enraged! XD Yeah, yeah, it’s not like it wasn’t built up since S1. Speaking of ships Moneta being jealous that Bakugo is getting the girls’ attention and calling him a delinquent is way too much. Oh, and we decided to show Eri happy just because we weren’t getting as big a reaction out of you. The post credit scene shows the underlying problem - someone is always going to be suffering or being led down a dark path - just like Tenko. The real question here is, can you be as observant as Deku was with Uraraka was in this episode and tell that something is bothering someone? Or are you going to not realize anything’s off until it’s too late to do anything? If you figure it out, let me know. 👀

Oh man, it's the third time I see this episode (by myself, with another reaction and now yours), and it is the third time that I end up having wet eyes seeing the Uraraka scene... I said it many times, for me, she is the heart of the show, not the heart as "center" but as kind and compassionate, she is a real sweetheart that don't just stay put and watch, but think about how to upgrade the world and help others, while still being a badass. I will say it, from all the battle shonen I've seen and read, she might be in my top 5 or 3, I truly think that she is one of the best female character in battle shonen, because she is the embodiment of kindness as a strenght, she is strong, because of her heart, and that is beautiful (funny enough, the number one spot is taken by another female character kind, compassionate and strong, with an heart of gold, but since she is main character and that we spend all the manga seeing her grow, she take the throne). I will stop here because I could litteraly talk about Ochaco for hours lol. But let's talk about the rest, we already had things closing in the last episode, but we have more things now, Gentle and La Brava finally reunited, don't remember if we will see what they will become in the next episode or if it's said in the manga, but they should become heroes, they deserve it now (and to live happily ever after). The scene with Spinner saying it will write about Shigaraki is good, because when the people that didn't know him where all talking about him like a monster, it's good to remember that it's this society that created this monster, the league was a result of THIS society, blamming only the person without looking in the mirror, will only create other peoples like them. About the embers... Well, we see it shrinking in this episode, not growing, so yeah, that imply that soon enough, Izuku will not have embers anymore and become what it was at the start, quirkless. But all this experience will have changed him and the world, so it doesn't feel like it was all for nothing in the end. Just one more episode, the real epilogue is about to start and we will say goodby to classe A... What a journey.
