THE FINALE - I'M BAWLING!!! How to Train Your Dragon 3: The Hidden World Reaction! (full / syncable)

Hey everyone! I'm here reacting to HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 3!!!! You guys, I was not ready for how much this one was gonna move me! There were so many good lessons in here - the way that we came full circle on the introduction of dragons as our friends, to their exit from humankind on a bittersweet note; the relationship between Hiccup and Toothless; the focus on love and family; etc.!!! I absolutely love how they wrapped things up, even if I am a little heartbroken about it! OMG THEIR LITTLE BABIES!!!! My heart wasn't ready!! What an amazing franchise! Hope you enjoy! ~ Melissa

It was intentional, apparently it's easier to split screens with a YouTube player than Patreon for syncing! Good to know about the content! I think that's a great way to sum up the themes of each movie. Aww yeah he was totally returning the wingman favor wasn't he! Me predicting the ending is part of how I react though :) That's a beautiful sentiment on love and letting go! Haha I knew that was David Tennant! Aw so awesome about the plushies! I always wanted to see A Bug's Life, don't know why I missed that one, I was a kid when it came out! Although I remember that it came out close to Phantom Menace, which was my obsession at the time, so maybe that's why :P (Star Wars was Jojo before Jojo for me lol) Gotta love a happy ending! Hahaha oooh that's true about the leg!

Quick question: it wasn’t a problem, and it worked fine for me, but did you put the full version intentionally on the Patreon in the YT format or was that an oopsie? :) I would say you’ve seen the content you probably really needed to react to at this point - there’s other side stories to be sure, but I don’t know if I’d call any of it really worth the reaction effort, it’s usually just, well… “filler,” for lack of a better word. Obviously, I do love this series and was following it from the get go - from the way you were talking I think you probably had these “in the can” before we started commenting, since I did mention last week that they are all based on a book series. If we try to piece together the three films and what they’re trying to convey, it’s in order, first about friendship, then it’s about support, and finally about love. I do get a little bemused when Hiccup is trying to play wingman to Toothless, because he’s basically returning the favor for what he did to push Astrid onto his side in the first film. As for the voice of Grimmel, the latest villain - because these stories always need catalysts - the VA is F. Murray Abraham, who played Ru’afo in Star Trek: Insurrection. The villains in this story were well voiced but they seem to be more like plot devices. Speaking of plot, I do think you might get so worried about “how it’s going to end” that sometimes you forget to enjoy the ride while you’re on it. We’ll get there eventually, whatever’s happening is going to happen. Hiccup went from the scared little kid to the chief with his own family, and Toothless had a much similar journey of his own. They had to part ways because as you saw in the start of this film, it was starting to be a real issue to keep them all. It doesn’t mean they aren’t friends anymore, they just needed different things. The common phrase is “if you really love something, let it go.” But the second part is, “if they feel the same you’ll see them again.” If not, you’ll just end up with Ruffnut talking your ear off - or people flying with babies. (Yes, I had to get one dig in there because it was too easy. 😅) PS: That one guy sounded like David Tennant, because it was David Tennant. :P I still have my movie merch Hiccup plushie from this movie. (I got a Light Fury one too, which I sent to my friend. Needless to say this merch sold out fast.) As far as recommendations, the only one out of the first five Pixar films you haven’t seen yet as I detailed fir you before, is “A Bug’s Life.” I have more on the list, but trying to keep it simple. :) After all… everyone’s a sucker for a happy ending. Right? Oh! Did we ever find out where Hiccup’s prosthetic leg went? 👀 /stares at a certain winged creature…
