I just wanna say I always thought that head clinic lady was a little sus for some reason! The truth behind the older ladies sticking around the rear palace is dark though! OMG I knew it - Suirei!! But WOW did they just mess up kidnapping Maomao, because Jinshi will stop at nothing to find her!! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Oh ew, that's really dark!!! But yeah, maybe not all of them were abused, that's a good point. Thanks for clearing that up about the lineage! Yikes, so there could be many descendants of the old emperor running around!! Lol I just said that in the next ep too, that Lakan would be a good one to bring in for this!!!

(and btw, remember that Shisuis said the clinic was founded by the emperess dowager, the mother of the actual emperor. You can assume she did that to gave them a purpose and trying to appaise them, so maybe not all the women working at the clinic have ressentment against the emperor family). - Shisou didn't react to the color of the wine, assuming that he is colorblind. If that the case he may be from the lineage of the Queen Mother or close to her, since we know that if a prince wasn't colorblind, it was helped by a concubine who was to pass the test, a concubine who was close to the lineage of the Queen Mother, so this lineage could continue. But about what you said about the old women at the clinic being mother of possibly court ladies, nothing is said for sure, but since only the late emperor touched them (other men being ennuch at that time), if they had childrens, they would be related to the actual emperor just like the lost princess, which was exiled in the story that we been told, so they're is really few chances that the woemn of the clinic had children being court ladies. Also, you said that Jinshi would do anything for Maomao, don't you forget another man present in this episode ? A certain foxy old man who love grape juice. I think those who would hurt Maomao have not just Jinshi to be afraid of ^^.
