That turned out WAY better than I thought, and I think Maomao may have invented ice cream LOL!! What I didn't see coming was that daddy is coming back to the rear palace, WHOA!!!! I'm so glad though, Gyokuyou made a wise choice to bring him in! Breech is no joke :/ I'm so on edge for this birth now lol!!! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

LOL that's fair :/ HAHAHAHA I can't be stopped with the frog!! Maomao having a photographic memory does make sense! LOL God help us if he's taking cues from Gyokuyou!! That's not a bad way to describe pregnancy and birth actually lol! Like we're literally built for it so a lot of it is actually pretty amazing the way it just happens....and then there are times when you think wow, it's a miracle anyone and their mom survives this! :P True about the "qualifications"!! I'm so happy Gyokuyou can see past the red tape! Oh yeah I figured the grave was maybe her mom? The one they talked about in the ghost story who had the emperor's kid?! My theory is that that was really her talking about her own birth...! I'm definitely gonna need ice cream for whatever is next!!

Not a whole lot has changed since then… 🐸😅 “The frog still blows my mind…” 🐸 Oh dear… 🐸 Maomao had only seen ice cream being made one time but she was able to pick up enough from that to recreate it - the girl must have a photographic memory or something - actually that would explain quite a bit about her knowledge base. 🐸. Even so, she’s still a servant girl and needs to, ahem, solicit the help of a certain grinning and “intact” gentlemen standing back and watching her scramble around like a chicken with her head cut off. 🐸. Do you think he might be taking a few cues from Gyokuyou’s recent teasing? 🐸? As for Gyokuyou herself, it’s a good thing Maomao was around to realize something was off and she could call in her dad. 🐸. I’m never going to deliver a child, obviously, but the whole process seems at the same time simple and complicated - it’s supposed to go off simply but the slightest change is causing a lot of concern, much less this. 🐸. As for you asking why the quack doctor was in charge, well, see above when I was talking about the servants - but also there probably weren’t a lot of candidates with the er… qualifications to be inside the rear palace. 🐸. Gyokuyou seems to have a much leveled head than Hongniang because she cut Maomao off at “criminal” while Gyokuyou’s understanding this recommendation isn’t coming lightly. 🐸. I think it was more to expose the differences between the rear palace then and now - clearly this would’ve been much more of an issue if this was done under the previous regime. 🐸. It looked like you know who was standing over an unmarked grave, any thoughts there? 🐸? You have no idea what’s coming - so just go get ice cream and don’t worry about it for now - I thought about teasing something to you but I’ll let it play out. 🐸.
