Saying each episode to date’s been a banger is a bit of an understatement. You know those weekly top tens I report on, have you noticed that only one specific title’s been #1 every week since the season began? :P Also, this feels like animation wise, Studio BONES is pulling out all the stops for the last season, the show is looking as good as it ever has. The discussion about the destruction of buildings reminded me of an argument that was made in another show you’re quite familiar with but the quote was “what do you think a kingdom is? The people, or the chunk of land they live on?” The fact that Yoichi “felt nothing” watching AFO flicker out speaks volumes without saying a word. If nobody feels anything for you when you gone, that’s a pretty black mark. AFO didn’t let others help him, he refused to share, and so he ended up all by himself. Of course, there’s a similar thing going on with Shigaraki but the fact that his own grandma would say “he’s beyond saving” was both an indication of how deep the original persona is buried, and how bad things are. It kind of goes along with the quote that was used in a previous season that said “heroes will sacrifice everything, including their own families.” Was I the only one who noticed that Shigaraki’s hand got detached during this fight? That might be important based on what we were talking about. Then of course, there’s Deku, who’s going to stop at nothing. The kid is just a bundle of inspiration (this is anime, after all). I suppose in some ways we all want someone who is really trying to understand us. An interesting question to ask is if Deku and Tomura were raised in the opposite situations than they were, would their personalities have developed any differently because of who they are at their core? But that’s hearsay, of course. It’s worth asking though. Who would’ve thought that Bakugo’s bullying would become the catalyst for a move that might be the key to saving everyone? Also, Star is gone, it’s a rip in Shigaraki’s memory that is tormenting him that we’re trying to jam OFA into. Oh! We do not have a confirmation on the number of episodes for the season yet, it’s not been officially posted, but I think it’s safe to assume we will be wrapping somewhere in late December. You should probably have your MHA film sessions as an automatic restock on the unicorn, and as an excuse to buy post game donuts at this point. XD

2025-11-02 16:59:39 +0000 UTCI can't believe I forget to tell you on the last episode who's voice you seem to recognised (of course it was Jotaro's), I thought of that during your reaction but forget to say it in the comment... I'm ashamed of myself. But for this episode, I have two thing that I won't forget to say. Remember, long long time ago, when Shigaraki first emerged after his bath into the cuve and was accidentally awoken, that he almost killed Eraserhead and Bakugo already at that time, Izuku passed in demon mode because of his anger and I said at that time that it was just a teaser, yep, that was the teaser for that new form he just use at the end of the episode. In his actual state, Izuku it has its peak. The other thing is, you already talked about giving up the One for All long time ago, I can't remember exactly your words and on what episode, maybe when Shigaraki and Izuku connected themselves via their quirks and we saw Shigaraki strugling by the power of AfO. Maybe you said something about the previous users fighting AfO in this mind zone or something like that. But I clearly remember saying "that would be crazy huh", because yeah, when you talked about that, the chapters adapted here were already relesed and then Izuku and all of the previous bearer's plan was in action, attaking by giving the OfA to Shigaraki. You can imagine it wasn't easy to not say something at that time lol. But yeah, finally, the cat is out of the bag hehe.
