I wanna SLAP these ladies in waiting so bad, all but the main one, she's decent lol. Also, it was great seeing Jinshi put one of those ugly bees in her place!! And Lishu's emotional moment made me so sad for her!!! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

HAHAHAH I can't be stopped! Aww thanks for the kindness about my comments about Gyokuyou lol. Yeah all these girls need to start doing whatever Gyokyuou is doing to vet her ladies, cause dang! Ohhh that's a good way to remember the names, thank you! The whole thing about Maomao makes sense right?! OMG I'm so worried for our girl!! Yeah it really depends on the concubine! Oooh ok, good to know I'm not behind on guessing what's going on lol!

That makes sense that our girl would be suspicious after he said that lol. OMG I was so mad in this one, it makes me SO happy to hear that about another angry Jinshi scene haha. I love Lishu!!!

She’s going through a pregnancy, has an easy going personality, is teasing Jinshi relentlessly and knows EXACTLY what kind of dynamic those two have and is needling him mercilessly for her own entertainment, because she wants to know everything. 🐸. Also, don’t put yourself down like that, you’re doing just fine. 🐸. The bullying of Lishu has apparently gotten out of hand enough that Jinshi actually used this “request” as a pretense to intervene in the Diamond Pavilion. 🐸. Of course, Maomao figures it out almost straightaway - but speaking of not being fine, it appears that Gyokuyou’s method of choosing ladies-in-waiting is far more effective and efficient than what Lihua and Lishu are putting up with this season. 🐸. It seems they’re both being undermined out of jealousy, but, um - lady, if you really were a good servant, perhaps we wouldn’t be having this conversation. 🐸. Heck, maybe watching Black Butler would teach you a few things. 😅 🐸. They keep mentioning the new eunuchs and you keep wondering about the Suirei lookalike - but yes, you’re right to be asking those questions. 🐸. Let me help you, Suirei (I) is the suspicious girl, Suiren (N) is the elder servant for Jinshi - the first letter is younger. 🐸. Jinshi STILL hasn’t told Maomao what he wants to - if only he knew that his “frog” is still haunting her dreams… 🐸. Also Maomao mentions not understanding motherly attachment when she watches Lishu - probably another reason she can remain so calm and detached in emotionally charged situations. 🐸. Finally, the ending scene - where Xiaolan was bumped into with the ice - the ice was for a high ranking concubine. 🐸. Maomao (and us) have mentioned to you that in this era, “the life of a servant girl is nothing.” 🐸. It’s why Maomao is so eager to keep her head down, but she has friends in the decision making circles. 🐸. However, depending on the circumstances here, Xiaolan’s life could be deemed forfeit, regardless of whether or not it was an accident. 🐸. This isn’t just a punishable offense, there’s literally a potential life-or-death matter going on here, it is that serious. 🐸. Which concubine was the ice for, that might be one point where things could sway one way or the other. 🐸. As far as trying to put the pieces together, let me save you some time - you can’t yet - the show has yet to give you probably one whole side of the pieces in the whole box. 🐸. Now about the frog examinations… 🐸. Would it be really that hard for a woman to disguise herself as a eunuch? 🐸? Hmmm…. 🐸. 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸

2025-10-29 16:29:46 +0000 UTCSo, for clarification, yes it's Suirei disguising herself as an ennuch, we see her prior when all the ennuch where shown the first time. About her injuries, it would be explained later so be patient. It's not really a spoiler since they clearly shown her face and we're supposed to recognize her at that moment, so even if you did your Maomao trying to gaslight yourself, you were right the first time ^^. Now, about Jinshi, not only he said more openly that he want her back, but he said "Maomao", its the first time that he use her name and just in front of the other. That why lady Gyokuyo ask what happen during the field trip, because for Jinshi to say it like that, is a proof that their relationship evolved. Sadly, Maomao think it's only because she know abour the frog lol. The story about Lishu was pretty touching and yeah, we all wanted to strangle the EX-head lady in waiting, but Jinshi scared her good (and if you liked this Jinshi, just to tease you, you will have a more angry Jinshi later on and I can already sense the "oh my" coming from you lol). But yeah, Lishu need to be protected, an another one will need it in the next episode, Xiolan... Big sis Maomao will obviously be on the case.
