Omg you guys I totally called it about the mirror conversation, but who were we talking about?! The new arrivals?!!? What's their whole deal?!?! And we got a lot about Granny's past in this one, I'm curious to know more details! But first, we're gonna see Jinshi as a MOON FAIRY?!?!!? Omgggggggggg!!!! I don't know if anyone can handle how friggin majestic that's gonna be but by all means BRING IT!!! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Cool, thanks for clearing that up! That's an interesting theory! She did put the mom on the street though, to have to sell her body...that'd be pretty messed up to do to your own daughter, but who knows!!

LOL Gyokuyou would do the best reaction videos EVER! I said right away the bug stuff would be important! I can't wait to see more!

Regarding your concern about Jinshi being lured to bed, first, remember Maomao still believes him to be a eunuch, even though we know otherwise, so that possibility she ruled out. 🐸. Second, the envoys are female, and we are in a time period where there really is only one kind of publicly accepted relationship in society - since we’re trying to pass Jinshi off as a female, that kind of eliminates that concern. 🐸. Also Jinshi is allowed in the rear palace and is in control of it - even if he wasn’t posing as a eunuch it would be scandalous for him to engage in such activities. 🐸. What’s more interesting is why the envoys are bringing such extravagant gifts to Maomao’s country - and why they’re making such strange demands. 🐸. And then there’s Gaoshun’s story - are the two really that connected? 🐸? Or might it be coincidental, just like Maomao figuring it out because Gyokuyou was just gifted a mirror. 🐸. “There’s an otherworldly beauty in this room right now…” 🐸. Melissa: Why does Gyokuyou seem like she knows exactly what Maomao is thinking?” 🐸? Me: “We already established, this is her entertainment, she lives for this stuff.” 🐸. I guess you could say she never gets tired of watching those two (can you blame her?) 🐸. Shisui’s off collecting and found a luminescent bug while she was scavenging, do you think that’s important? 🐸? Meanwhile, Maomao is doing the very thing that she said would bring down an Empire in the last season… poor Gaoshun he got it right away. 🐸. “Oh.” 🐸. To take a quote from an older movie I like to use, in this case: “you’re either incredibly smart or incredibly stupid.” 🐸😅. But I’m sure it’ll be entertaining. 👀🐸 🐸🐸🐸🐸

2025-09-12 00:45:32 +0000 UTCBack to the last episode. The ladies in waiting killed Tao because she didn't want to pretend to be Jin anymore. They just figured they could say it was Jin who was thought to be sick just died. They were all probably executed. I am pretty certain that the old lady gave Birthday to Maomao's mom. Why else would she provide a room for her and not just throw her out. If that's the case she us actually Maomao's grandmother and would explain why Maomao grew up in the brothel.
